Beau's POV

The sun was beginning to dip below the horizon as Adeline and I found ourselves walking side by side, the school building looming ahead of us. The day had been filled with laughter but now that the Charity Event was over, I couldn't shake the feeling of nervous anticipation that had been building within me.

"Hey, Adeline," I said, my voice slightly shaky despite my efforts to remain calm. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out at my place after school today. We could watch a movie or something."

Adeline's eyes lit up at the suggestion, a smile spreading across her face. "I'd love to, Beau. "

I felt a surge of relief wash over me at her response, a warm feeling spreading through me at the thought of spending more time with her. With a smile, I led the way to my car, adrenaline coursing through my veins as we climbed inside.

As we drove towards my house, the familiar streets passing by in a blur, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement building within me. This was the first time I had invited Adeline over, and I wanted everything to be perfect.

As we pulled into the driveway and stepped out of the car, I led Adeline inside, the warmth of my home enveloping us as we entered. With a nervous smile, I gestured towards the living room.

"Make yourself at home, Adeline," I said, my voice tinged with uncertainty. "I'll go grab us some snacks."

I disappeared into the kitchen, my heart pounding in my chest as I searched through the cabinets for something to snack on. But as I returned to the living room with a bowl of popcorn in hand, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief at the sight before me.

Adeline was sitting on the couch, a contented smile on her face as she admired the various family photos adorning the walls. With a smile, I joined her on the couch, the nervous tension between us slowly dissipating as we settled in to watch the movie.

As the movie played on, I found myself stealing glances at Adeline, unable to tear my eyes away from her. There was something about the way she laughed at the jokes, the way she leaned into me when she got scared, that made my heart flutter with joy.

And as the movie drew to a close and Adeline's breathing slowed, I couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for her. With a gentle smile, I reached out and brushed a stray lock of hair from her face, my heart pounding in my chest as she stirred in her sleep.

"Adeline," I whispered, my voice barely audible in the quiet of the room. "It's time to go home."

But as I gently shook her awake, Adeline stirred and opened her eyes, a sleepy smile spreading across her face. "Hmm? What's up, Beau?"

I chuckled softly, the sound filling the room with warmth. "You fell asleep, Adeline. It's time for me to take you home."

Adeline blinked sleepily, rubbing her eyes as she sat up. "Oh, sorry about that. Thanks for letting me crash on you."

I smiled, a rush of affection flooding through me. "Anytime, Adeline. Here, let me grab you a sweatshirt. It's cold outside."

As I handed her the sweatshirt, our fingers brushed against each other, sending a jolt of electricity through me. And as Adeline slipped the sweatshirt on, her smile lighting up the room, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over me.

With a final goodbye, I led Adeline out to the car, the warmth of her presence lingering in the air as we drove towards her house. And as we said our goodbyes and she disappeared inside, I couldn't help but smile at the thought of the girl who stole my heart.
