Beau's pov

The crisp November air filled my lungs as I walked across the school courtyard, a sense of excitement bubbling within me. It had been five days since I asked Adeline out on our first date, and with each passing moment, the anticipation grew stronger.

Senior night for the women's soccer team was fast approaching, marking the end of the regular season and the beginning of a new chapter for Adeline. And with basketball season just around the corner, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement at the thought of hitting the court with my team once again.

But more than anything, I was excited for our date. I had spent days planning the perfect evening for Adeline, wanting to show her how much she meant to me in every little detail. And with Hadley's help, I was confident that everything would go off without a hitch.

The buzz of excitement filled the air as I stood on the sidelines sporting the number 2 away jersey that belonged to Adeline, my eyes fixed on Adeline as she walked onto the field for her senior night pictures, flanked by her proud parents. She looked radiant, a smile lighting up her face as the camera flashed, capturing the moment for eternity.

As the senior festivities died down and the game faces came on, I felt a surge of pride watching Adeline and her team take the field. This was it, the last regular-season game before playoffs, and they were determined to go out with a bang.

As the kickoff started, Adeline seemed to be everywhere at once, her skill and determination shining through with each move. She won every tackle, made every pass, and led her team to victory with an unwavering resolve.

The stands were filled with scouts from Division 1 soccer teams, their eyes trained on Adeline as she played the best game of her career so far. And as the final whistle blew and the scoreboard declared their victory, 3-0, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride in my chest.

After the game, as Adeline basked in the glow of her success, a couple of the scouts spoke to her before anyone else. I made my way over to her, a smile playing on my lips. "Congratulations, Adeline," I said, wrapping her in a hug. "You played amazing out there."

Adeline's eyes sparkled with excitement as she hugged me back, a sense of joy radiating from her. "Thanks, Beau. It means a lot coming from you."

As I pulled away, I leaned in close, my lips brushing against her ear. "Tomorrow night, 7 o'clock. I'll pick you up for our date. Dress cozy."

With a soft kiss on her cheek, I turned and walked away, leaving Adeline sitting in stunned silence. And as I walked off the field, a sense of anticipation filled my heart at the thought of our date tomorrow night, and the adventures that awaited us.
