3rd Person's POV

Luer paced the room and said, "I'm worried about my friends. Why aren't they here yet?" Her eyes looked at the wall-hung clock, each tick adding to her sense of anxiety.

"All will be well, Luer. They're just wandering around," Aaliyah assured them, trying to calm her nerves. "I'm sure our friends are alright."

Luer nodded, but the tingling feeling in her tummy persisted. Something might be wrong with them, she thought. She knew that no one might believe her, but she really wanted to go and check on them. After all, it had been two hours since they left.

Yeshua and Wayne went back to the class with a cold face, both eyes looking down and Wayne looks like he's troubled. Luer noticed both and felt more unease on what might have happen to them.

"Don't you think something is off with them?" Luer whispered to Aaliyah but Aaliyah doesn't seem to notice Wayne and Yeshua entering.

"What do you mean?" Aaliyah said uncertainly.

"I don't know. I'm not sure either." Luer said as her fingers starts to fidget, her little movement was clearly making Aaliyah worried for her friend. She can't bare anymore second of letting her feel unease.

Aaliyah turns her head to see both Yeshua and Wayne acting weirdly.

"Maybe they just finished fucking?" Aaliyah whispered to Luer. Despite her attempt to be discreet, Luer gave her the unmistakable 'bruh' face.

"You've got to be fucking joking right now." Luer replied coldly, rolling her eyes.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry! I thought it would break the ice. But seriously, if they even do it, that would be something!" Aaliyah's voice softened into a giggle.

"Aaliyah!" Luer's voice was sharp, bringing Aaliyah back to her senses. Shocked, Aaliyah glanced at Wayne again and noticed something was off.

"Just calm down like what they are doing right now. We'll find out later, okay?" Aaliyah squeezed Luer's hand tightly, trying to reassure her.

But out of the blues, their professor was called over by the office which led her to leaving the class for a while. This gave Luer a chance to talk things with her friends.

"Can you talk to Yeshua now? I'll go over there to talk to Wayne. Thanks Liyah!" Luer hurriedly said and went to Wayne.

"But--" Aaliyah tried to reply but Luer went away already.

"Ugh... I don't like Yeshua... Nor Wayne... Fuuuuck." She added but went to Yeshua either way.

Luer crouched down in front of Wayne's desk, her movements hesitant and careful. With both hands resting lightly on the desk's edge, she leaned in closer. Her face went near to Wayne with her eyes filled with concern.

"You look puzzled a lot. I suppose that has something to do with why you're late?" Luer whispered softly, her voice tinged with worry.

"What? Are a teacher now?" Wayne annoyingly said, raising one of his eyebrows.

"What? No! I'm just-- Look, you're obvious, okay?" She stutters as she tries to explain.

"Obvious? I don't understand you, Luer."

"Wayne! The last time you were acting normal is when were at the new band, then you and Yeshua are both late. And now both of you are acting weird like you just witness a crime!"
