Love is an unexpected thing that just happens. It can happen at random, over time, one day you can suddenly wake up and find out you're in love with someone you've known for years. It's uncontrolled, untameable, unpredicted, it's everything with an "un" because it is something that when it comes to deciding, it's completely out of your reach.

So here's a question: who chooses? The person themselves? Faith? Cupid? Is it controlled by an unknown supernatural force? It's a question people have been asking themselves since the dawn of time. It's something we'll never figure out because not any science in the world can scale who you will fall inlove with. And just like that, it hit Luke like a lunged flying bolder.

Luke never thought he'd fall into such a twisted love that would make him feel unfulfilled. He felt like he was missing a big part of himself, and that part was offered to Calum, but Calum declined the sacrifice.

I will break your heart over and over again.

The words were like a clock in Luke's head. Irritant and nonstop. They were bitter, but then again, sweet.

In a way, Calum had left Luke an open door. He had shown the tiniest bit of emotion, showing that deep down in his twisted head he might have felt something for Luke. And Calum was strongly trying to repel that feeling, being at the verge of tears. Calum might be trying his best to shut him out, but Luke had hope.

"Luke!" Michael yelled from across the kitchen counter, throwing a few chips at his face.

Luke panicked out of his haze, looking alarmed. "Wha-what?"

"Where are you man? I'm trying to talk to you but you seem all hazed."

"Sorry," he nodded, "just thinking." He started biting on his bottom lip, flipping the black ring and knocking it against his teeth.

"Thinking about Calum?" He snickered.

"No!" Luke panicked. He hadn't even told the boys of what had gone down at Namiko's party. None of it. Not about Daniel, not about the kiss, not about the things Calum let slip. And mostly because if he told the little wankers about the kiss, they'd never leave him alone and annoy the shit out of him.

"Hey," Mike threw his arms up in defeat. "Just asking, s'all." But he still had a smirk playing out across his face. "So, we're gonna go grocery shopping cause there's nothing to consume in this house. Come with?"

"Nah," Luke shook his head gently. "You guys go." Luke planned to stay in all day, have a good relaxing shower and maybe sit back and watch a few films.

Luke stood up and started patting down to the living room. He sat down on the couch and started zoning out into his phone. Since he had been at the beach house, he had completely gone off the radar with everyone that isn't Michael, Ash and Cal.

...

Calum pushed the door open, walking in without announcement. When he opened the door, he saw Ashton sitting down on the bed. He was tying his laces, getting ready for whatever it was.

"Hey," Ashton smiled at him.

He plopped down on the bed, sitting against the head rest. "I need to tell you something."

"Sure, pal." Ashton jumped backwards on the bed, lining himself up with Calum. "What's up?"

"You can't tell anyone," Calum warned, to which Ashton simply nodded. "Okay, so at that girl's party..."

"Namiko?"

"Yeah, yeah, that one. Well, Dany was there, and he was kind of drunk, yeah?"

Ash nodded.
