Luke woke up from a nightmare, gasping for dear life. He immediately clung for the stranger's sheets that covered his mere nudity. The new blankets only served to prove that this nightmare he recalled having wasn't a nightmare after all. He woke up knowing that he'd done the unthinkable. He'd crossed the line.
He jumped from the bed, looking around for his trousers. He didn't exactly find his underwear, but that was under the question. He slung his tee over his neck and made his way out of the stranger territory. Once down the long marble hall, he came across Namiko Huey.
"You're up," she smiled, cupping a shiny blue mug between her palms.
When a terrible headache pounded on his temples, he only clung to his hair, trying to pull it off. "Shit, I don't even remember what happened last night."
"Very few do."
"Where are the guys?" Luke asked past a croaky throat.
"They all went home last night. You're the last one here."
"Oh." Luke knew to bite his tongue. "Nam, I'm sorry for..."
"Nonsense. It's cool," she waved it off. "Do you want breakfast? Or advil?"
"Actually, I think I'm just gonna head home," he denied and walked straight.
"In that case, you're gonna need a ride."
"Shit," he remember they all tripped in one car, which now seemed like a terrible idea. "Please."
...
Luke managed to make it home by early afternoon, thanks to Nami. She kindly drove him home and they even stopped at a local bakery for some breakfast. Luke bought all of his friends breakfast, because he knew that the shaming wouldn't be kind nor gentle.
"Thanks again," he said his farewells and picked up the two paper bag-loads of morning food and beverages. He neglected his better judgement and walked straight up to the front doors. He walked past the open lock and was immediately met by Michael at the entrance.
Michael had crossed arms and a closed mouth. There was something in his green pearls that just annoyed Luke to the core.
"What?" Hemmings scoffed.
"How's the walk of shame treating you?"
Luke rolled his eyes. "Do you want my fist to treat your face?"
"What's that?" He immediately picked up on the paper bags which were obviously food, therefore he was obviously interested.
"Food. Call the others." Luke went for the kitchen. He stopped at the counter island and began taking the packaging out of the brown carton bags. He'd bought some eggs, some pancakes, hash browns, a couple burritos and some sealed orange juices. He started putting everything out orderly, took out napkins and forks and sat down, beginning to eat.
It only took Michael five seconds to come back. In five seconds, Luke heard Michael's feet run up the stairs, heard him holler everyone's name and run back down, with enough of a head start to eat before anyone else.
Soon after, Ashton and Cara piled up side by side. They came around the island and positioned themselves around Michael and began to eat. "Thanks for the food, Luke," Cara thanked him and bit into a burrito.
"Yeah, thanks man, this is just what we neeeded."
Michael groaned. "I'm gonna vomit because he's trying to buy us and you're all eating it up."
