MondayThe boys had taken the party back to Luke's condo. They'd spent the last four days alone, doing drugs and having amazing sex--and it was the most romantic thing--nesting with another person. Not doing anything other than embracing their love is probably one of the best things about relationships. It had suddenly become so easy to shut out the world.
Calum woke up in the bath tub, surrounded by Luke's arms. He clung to a handle and pulled himself up, making Luke groan, then he pushed a foot over the tub and hopped off. When he stood up properly, Luke also woke up confused.
"The fuck am I doing in the tub?" Luke questioned, looking around the room with faded red eyes.
Calum guessed that they somehow got drunk and ended up just crashing there for fun. Now it seemed like a dumb idea because they both woke up with killer back pains from the comfortless bath.
"What time is it?" Luke asked scratching his head. He stretched his long legs off the tub and managed to pull his weight up. As he passed Calum, he stopped to slither behind him and place kisses in the delicate spot just under his ears. Calum moaned and closed his eyes, disappointed when Luke took back his touch and left the washroom in search of a phone.
As Luke opened the washroom door, he almost stepped on broken shards. He cursed when he saw his new lamp broken on the carpet. And that wasn't the only thing that was broken in his apartment; plates and tables and bottles had been knocked down when Calum and Luke reached a peak altitude of high. It was unpredictable that ever since Calum was back, material stuff didn't really seem to matter.
They'd also lost track of time, and at times they became quite nocturnal. Their day was spent getting high, making love, waking up to eat and watching corny movies meanwhile getting drunk. It was a repeated cycle and it was a manifest of emotions which neither of them could explain. It was so beautiful that it couldn't be real. So beautiful it had to be harmful.
He walked back to the washroom, catching Calum doing lines. "You gon' share that?" He asked.
Calum smiled and motioned him to come over. Calum helped him bend over the porcelain washroom counter and sniff so hard that the coke would make his senses vibrate at an immediate rush. Right away, the pull was an entirely different feeling. As Luke came back up, he was met by Calum's lips over his.
"What do you say we shower and get something to eat?" Luke asked.
Almost immediately, Calum was shaking his head. "No," he said his first word of the day, "let's stay here okay? Let's just stay here."
"Okay, we can always get delivery."
"Okay," Calum huffed and kissed him again.
When Calum kissed him one final time, Luke smiled against his lips knowingly. Then, Luke grabbed Calum by his legs and pulled his body up, picking him up like a baby. Calum rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile, knowing he picked him up so he wouldn't step on broken shards. So then Luke carried Calum to the living room, where he laid him gently on the grey couch and sat himself atop him, kissing him softly, giggling.
Calum had started getting comfortable around the idea of having someone who cared about him. Calum had never spent as much time in one room with anyone as he had Luke. In any other case, being with someone for so long, Cal would usually start to get bored or exasperated. Luke had become the only exception. Luke could say things that Calum found utterly stupid, but it was also super cute and funny at the same time. Or Luke could say things that made him mad, and all of the sudden they kissed, and that anger just diminished to thin air. Anything Luke would ask of him, he'd do because deep down, he really just wanted to make him happy. Luke had become familiar. Luke had become comfortable and shielding. Luke kept him grounded on his feet while elevating. And if Luke was the only exception there'd ever be, than maybe that'd be okay. Maybe Cal could take just that much.
