Carnivorous Bargain

        The viscous, earth-colored waves of the river lazily rippled as the melted chocolate splashed lazily against the canyon walls, an array of giant candy canes and stacks of cookies aligning the sides. The surface of the thick and sticky substance was smooth and flowed slowly further down into the gorge, not a single sign of life anywhere to be seen for miles.

        It was not long before a rather large bubble in the chocolate began to form out of the liquid, its bulbous shape gradually growing as seconds passed. A few moments later, it finally burst apart with a sharp POP, revealing it to be the circus group's tanker resurfacing in the river of fudge after their rather disastrous pursuit of the bandits. Disgruntled and nauseous groans arose from the weary players, disoriented from the horrendous ordeal they experienced.

        "Urgh... Is everybody okay?" Ragatha queasily asked, the ragdoll lying atop the truck's roof. She glanced back behind her to see Gangle sprawled across the trailer, the woman now nowhere near the driver's seat after her negative experience of being forced into their driver.

        "No..." The ribbon woman groaned weakly before dropping her head back down, unable to muster up the strength to keep it raised. The hatch atop the vehicle's roof right behind where Ragatha was sitting abruptly flew open, followed by a rather peppy-looking Barbie standing up from inside as she proceeded to curiously survey their new surroundings.

        "...well! That could've gone a whole lot worse." She remarked, planting a fist on her hip while she plucked a maroon-colored gumball off her candy-decorated hat. She casually popped it into her mouth and gave it a few chews before continuing. "Looks like we won't be able to drive our way out of this. Maybe if we had Pomni's stretchy limbs still with us, we might have a pretty good chance..."

        "Oh, man... Poor Pomni!" Ragatha frowned anxiously at the mention of the jester, a hand over her chest with concern for their newest addition as the last they saw of her, she was left atop the bandits' war rig thanks to a certain anthropomorphic rabbit's antics. She had hoped the adventure would go smoothly considering the jester's very first experience was catastrophic, even though she couldn't exactly participate properly yesterday as a result of Kaufmo's Abstraction. Now that her second day in the circus seemed to officially be ruined as well, her future was bound to be bleak if all she experienced from the adventures was nothing but disasters. "I hope she's all right..."

        "'Poor Pomni'?" Jax indignantly snapped up at the ragdoll from where he was, the rabbit sprawled on his stomach across the windshield. "How about 'poor us'? We're one tanker away from being Augustus Glooped!"

        Barbie took the opportunity to lean over the edge of the truck and scoop up a handful of the river of fudge after swallowing the gumball in her mouth. As soon as she took a single sip of the chocolate, her features instinctively wrinkled with disgust at the taste in her mouth. "Oh God... It's not even the good stuff!" She complained, shaking her hand clean of the digital sweetened liquid with a distasteful scowl. She hastily took another random piece of candy from her clothing to pop into her mouth in hopes of overtaking the disgusting taste with the sugary flavor. "Ugh, where the heck is an Oompa Loompa when you need one...?"

        No sooner than those words left her lips, what appeared to be a pair of giant jawbreakers with yellow-and-pink swirls surfaced from the chocolate ravine, floating just a few feet away from their truck. The river then slowly arose from beneath the gobstoppers, though the appearance of a large, cavernous mouth filled with teeth of candy corn ultimately revealed it to not be the river itself, but what seemed to be a giant blob monster made entirely of chocolate fudge sauce. 

        "Oh oh oh, what's that...?" His voice was deep and gurgling as he loomed over their vehicle, dwarfing the group in comparison to his size. His mouth nearly took up his entire viscous body, giving them a vivid view of his edible yet dangerously-sharp teeth as he spoke. "Do my eyes deceive me? A delicious gift from within the kingdom gates? Don't mind if I do ~ "
