(A/N: Enjoy this new chapter as a Halloween special, courtesy of the spooky holiday coming in a few days ~ ! Happy Halloween, everyone!)

Mornings in the digital circus were...mildly simple, to say the least. Which was ironic, considering the unpredictable nature of the entire realm as a whole.

Most days, whenever the group finished their daily breakfast, Caine doesn't necessarily appear right after the last person finishes their own meal to dish out his typical adventures. There were even some scenarios where he would fail to arrive after a few hours have already passed, so they would take this rare opportunity to enjoy what little peace they had by preoccupying themselves with whatever activity they could all somehow agree on. An example of such an occurrence was happening this very moment, and since they had a new arrival joining them, it was decided that they would have her participate in a simple one as her first time.

Hence why they were all gathered in a small area somewhere over to the side in the circus's main room, which was somewhat cozy compared to its environment. It consisted of a large, square rug with an orange-and-yellow checkered rug that contrasted against the black-and-white floor of the same pattern, and a total of four couches each of a different color) purple, blue, red, and green. There was a yellow fire hydrant located between the blue and red couches, along with a pair of round low tables with a single potted plant on the larger one.

Zooble was situated on the blue couch while Gangle was drawing away in her sketchbook on the purple one, a smile on her porcelain mask as she enjoyed a rare moment of peace to herself. Barbie was lazily sprawled on her side across the red couch, resting her arm on the armrest with one leg over the other while sucking on a lollipop held in her other hand. The rest of the group was standing around as each and every one were casually watching their newest arrival in the center, whose pale face was a brilliant shade of blue with her cheeks inflated.

Pomni released a loud gasp as she released her breath and panted for air, her features fading back into their usual color with her hands flying to her knees for support. "I can't hold it any longer..." She wheezed, weakly glancing over at the others with a frown. As soon as they had finished their daily breakfast, she had found herself dragged into an activity the others agreed on to kill some time before Caine arrives to announce their next adventure.

Said activity was apparently nothing more than a game to see how long she could hold her breath, and needless to say, she wasn't exactly finding any entertainment in this whatsoever...

"Sure you can!" Jax grinned down at the jester with a hand on his hip, his voice tinged with mock encouragement. "We can't die from oxygen deprivation, remember?" He briefly pointed at his head upon emphasizing the last word, visible amusement in his square pupils. He apparently found it humorous to see how easy it was for people to forget that the world they resided in was nothing more than a digital simulation, therefore their bodies were not bound by any laws of physics or logic from the real world.

"But it still feels like I'm gonna die..." Pomni's hesitant frown grew, briefly glancing to the side with a grimace. In her defense, she only just recently arrived a few days ago, so naturally it was still going to take a bit of time before she finally accepted that her body was no longer that of a human being. She could have sworn she felt as though her lungs were genuinely on the verge of bursting just now.

"Uh, then try winging it." Barbie drawled over from the couch she was on as she stretched against the armrest, briefly taking her magenta-colored lollipop out of her mouth to point it at the jester. She casually shifted her position so she was now lying on her stomach while folding her arms across each other on the support, lazily swinging her legs to and fro in the air. "You're clearly a pro at improvising, like during your act in that one noncanonical musical act we had to do for noncanonical, merchandising reasons ~ "
