It had been exactly four days since my first day at Skyline Academy; Four days since I met the famous S-Rankers, Christian Lancaster and Alexander St. Claire, and the rude boy — who walks around like he owns the place— Wolf Winchester. I wasn't sure if Wolf was an S-Ranker, but from the gossips, I caught onto after our first interaction in the Chemistry lab, I figured he was also one of Skyline Royalty. Some gossip also suggested that these three were always seen together, like a pack of wolves. That would mean there was a possibility that they were friends as well. Sometimes, I wondered how these three became friends. It made sense that Chris and Ace were friends since they had similar personalities. However, Wolf seemed to be in a league of his own, completely different from the pack. When I mentioned "teasing was an S-Ranker thing," I assumed this statement also applied to the final, mysterious S-Ranker I was yet to meet. But after meeting Wolf, I realized it was just a Chris and Ace thing.

"Hello, Earth to Aurora?" I was snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Skylar dangling her car keys before my eyes. The ends of her lips tugged into a smile and she held a mischievous glint in those brown orbs. I blinked several times, trying to register her words and our current surroundings.

"Huh?" That was all that came out of my mouth. Skylar chuckled as she watched me look like a deer caught in the headlights.

"What were you thinking so hard about?" Skylar asked as she cleaned the shiny orange Jaguar F-Type car before us.

"Oh, uh, nothing," I lied, not wanting to tell her I was thinking about my previous interactions with the S-Rankers and the last few days at Skyline. "Just school stuff."

"Right...." She drawled, her eyes glued to the car as she concentrated on wiping the car with a clean cloth. "And I dream of finding a man to sweep me off my feet."

"You don't."

"And you weren't thinking about school," She shot back with a smirk. "So, spill, Thatcher. I won't judge, I promise."

Damn it, she caught me. But I wasn't planning on spilling the beans just yet.

I sighed. "Fine. I was thinking about how pissed Harry's going to get when he finds out you're taking his precious baby to your racing tournament tonight."

Skylar laughed, enjoying the idea of messing with her older brother and potentially giving him a heart attack.

"It's not funny, Sky." I glared at her. "I promised your brother I won't let you take the car, let alone drive it. He's going to kill me."

"Please." Skylar playfully rolled her eyes. "He wouldn't dare kill you. He cares about you too much to do that."

"But—"

"But, nothing." She firmly cut me off. "If he tells you something, tell him you didn't know I'd take the car. It happened when you weren't around. He won't say a thing. Besides, when you asked him for his Jaguar, he knew you weren't one to ask for cars and I was the one who made you ask for it. Yet, he handed it to you. So, that should say something."
