Author's Note:
Hey there, my dear readers! I hope you're enjoying the story so far. I've spent every waking hour of the day bringing my imagination to life for you. So, I hope you feel like it's worth it. Anyway, that is not why I'm typing this down. What I am about to tell you is that Skyline Hearts is divided into five sections and each section has five chapters. Every section will be posted as a whole so you will not have to wait weeks for one chapter update. Sweet, isn't it? In addition to that, the final chapter of every slot (Chapters 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25) will not be in Aurora's POV. It might be Chris, Ace, Wolf, Skylar, or Harry narrating their side of the story to you. I, of course, will be mentioning whose POV it is so you don't get confused. Anyway, that's about it. We're about to switch to Chris's POV now. Ready?

CHRIS LANCASTER
"Good morning, Cupcake. Hope you had a lovely sleep. Can't wait to see you today!"
I pressed send and let the phone lie on my chest as I stared at the ceiling for a while. It was still six in the morning, which gave me two hours to get out of bed and go to class, so I had plenty of time to make myself presentable. Even with the lack of sleep, I was sure I could still look and act my best. After all, I was an S-Ranker. Hell, I had a reputation to hold and an image to keep. Lack of sleep or any other obstacle wasn't going to stop me today. When that thought crossed my mind, the ends of my lips curled into a lazy smile.
I checked my phone again. Huh, she hadn't seen my text, yet. Maybe she was still sleeping? I wonder how she would look while sleeping. With partially closed eyes, I imagined watching her sleep. She looked gorgeous-with soft white skin, slightly rosy cheeks, long, wavy dark brown hair resting on her shoulders. Cupcake looked so peaceful and soft, it made my heart flutter and filled my being with warmth and all kinds of fuzziness.
In my twenty years of life, I had never experienced that flutter. I had only heard about it from Ace's non-stop rambling after he had finished reading one of his romance novels. I used to hear about how the men in those books would go crazy and their hearts would pound so hard around the woman they liked that it would threaten to break free from its ribcage. For now, I was not experiencing anything of that sort. What I did experience was physical attraction, or so I thought. Before my thoughts could go any further, my phone beeped. My eyes instantly lit up, my smile widened and I prayed that I received a message from Cupcake.
My smile fell as fast as it had arrived. I sighed as I read the text.
"Tonight's the night. You coming to cheer me up, right?"
Damn it, I almost forgot about Wolf's race. I quickly typed in a reply.
"Of course, why wouldn't I? I always show up at your tournaments, don't I? I'll be there, Wolf. Don't worry about it."
