Y/n's POV;
Few weeks later
Tooru left a few days ago. For the last few days we were just hanging out. The last day we went to a bar with some friends, even Atsumu was there. Atsumu and I got somewhat closer. I gave him my number that night so whenever he needs or want something he can text me, same goes for me. I'll honestly start texting to check up on my plants but maybe that's everything. There were times while I'm at work Atsumu would send me these games you could play on text messages. It's pretty cool and fun but it's bad cause I always get distracted by it when I'm working.
While Atsumu and I play those games he either wins or I do. Our games are pretty fair but I would get very angry for no reason when he wins. I find it funny. Atsumu and I have been getting a lot closer, at times when I get home from work he'd come over and chill and bring food. I'm surprised that it's just that. Nothing too complicated or suspicious about it. Just ex lovers being friends again.
Today though..will be fun! I'm finally playing volleyball, and I haven't played in a long time. Atsumu and I planned to play this afternoon with Bokuto, Kuroo, Suna , Lina, Kenma, Tobio and even Miwa. I'm not sure with Maya though she says she needs to see cause her kid is being a hassle. I think she should bring her son to the court to teach them young. One thing is. I know I'm going to dread this. I have a night shift tonight after we play. I'm scared. I'm going to pray for a fuck tone of energy.
I start to pack my things including my arm sleeves, knee pads, sports tape and my shoes. After I filled my water bottle with an energy drink and a few protein bars. I feel like I'm back in high school. I laugh a little from the thought. Then I hear a knock on my door and I open it to see Atsumu "ready?" He says with a smile and I nod. I lock my door and we get down to the parking garage "Are we taking separate cars or…" I ask and he shrugs "umm… I mean we live basically at the same place and we're going to the same place too..so I think it's convenient to have one ride. But it depends on how comfortable you are with that" he says and I look at him and nod. He has a point: "I'll ride with you then. I'll probably get lost if I go on my own" I said in a little laughter. He laughs with me " yeah sure ok" he says and leads me to his car.
His car isn't one of those fancy cars. Pretty basic black Mercedes. Out of nowhere Atsumu opens my door and I look at him surprise "thanks" I said and got in before shutting the door he reaches his hand out "I'll grab your bag for you and put it in the back" he said and I smile and give it to him. Why am I getting butterflies from this? When we were in high school he would at times carry my volleyball bag for me when we walk. This feels more mature and different. I smile harder and see that Atsumu got in "what are you smiling at?" He asks "mhm nothing" I said and he starts to drive off "can I play some music? The quietness is killing me" I ask and he nods "yeah.. my phones right there if you want" he said driving off when the light turned green. I look at him surprised he's letting me use his phone " Um sure...I need the password.." I said and grab his phone. I open the password slot and type in his old password. I swear it was muscle memory. When I typed it, it unlocked " my password is-" he starts and I look at his phone unmoved " got it" is all I said.
His password was still our anniversary....my heart aches. Remembering all those memories some were good and some were bad. "Oh..uh at least you're in" Atsumu says and I look at him so confused "Ok ok I never changed it cause I can't think of any other password and then there's Face ID so I just.....never changed it. Sorry for the weird surprise?" He says and I laugh a little "That's understandable. After all those years you never changed it?" I said and he nods. I laugh even more "you acted like a child being caught for doing something they shouldn't Atsumu" I said and laughed even more and I see Atsumu turn and look at me and smile.
