Episode 20. Over the sea

The afternoon of the next day after receiving a call from teacher Yongjun,

I opened the door and entered room 602, the teacher's room.

“Oh, yes, Yul is here.”

“Yes sir, what’s going on?”

“Did you enjoy the practical exam at Korea University of the Arts?”

The teacher was sitting on a chair in front of the computer and stroking his beard. It was as if she was contemplating her timing on what to say.

said the teacher. But it seemed like he still had something to say.

Although it is a documentary, it could be called an art film in a broad sense because the filming method was chosen to maximize the visual effects of the film.

Director Choi Seung-yong called this film a diary of his visual techniques.

This work, which contains the director's personal history, is different from the commercial films that director Choi Seung-yong has made so far and have achieved considerable box office success.

Director Choi Seung-yong has recently been feeling ‘burnout’, something that happens to anyone who has been extremely immersed in a certain work at least once.

This may be a symptom of his skepticism about what kind of movie he truly wants after finishing two movies that were box office successes in a row.
