Minho rubbed his eyes and groaned.

I looked around to see Alby unconscious, a stream of blood pouring out the side of his head.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I did what I had to do." He replied, stern.

I sighed. "Come on, help me with Alby. We have to hide him." I heard a Griever screech in the distance. "Now." I said.

Minho walked over to Albys body and wrapped Albys arm around his shoulder. I did the same. We dragged him for some time until we got tired. We put Alby down gently and took a break. I looked up and saw that it was sundown and I saw patch of thick vines clinging to the wall. I had an idea.
"What if we hide him up there?"

Minho looked up at the vines. "That could work."

We wrapped the thick vines around Albys waist and chest, pulling him up the wall. Slowly but surely, we were making progress. Then I heard a blood curdling screech, and yanked on the vine faster.
"We have to hurry." I said, slightly panicking.

"We have no time! Leave him." Minho yelled, then took off.

"You bitch, don't just leave me here!" I yelled back.
I turned my head left and I could see the shadow of the Griever. I quickly hid under the vines in a small space in between two pieces of concrete.
"Fuck." I whispered.

The clicking of metal and whirring sound got very intense. Clink.. clink.. clink. I watched in horror as the creature stood outside my hiding space, and I shot my hand to my mouth, careful not to make a sound. Clink.. clink.. clink.. I watched as it slowly walked away in relief, and I let out a quiet breath. I removed myself from my hiding spot, and walked around the maze carefully, trying to find Minho.
I stopped walking to catch my breath, and I felt something warm on my shoulder. I look over to see acid-yellow spit sliding its way down my shoulder, and plopping onto the ground with a squish. I turned my head up slowly and my eyes widened.
"Oh. My. Fucking. Shit." I said slowly and quietly.

I ran. I ran and ran and ran with a Griever hot on my tail. Left, right, left, straight, right, right, down a long corridor, left, right.  I turned a sharp corner and ran into Minho.

"COME ON, FOLLOW ME!" He screamed. He grabbed my hand quickly and pulled me along so I could get back up on my feet from stopping.

I turned back to see the Griever slam into the wall while trying to make the sharp turn. I gasped and continued to sprint. More turns and turns and long corridors of darkness. The ivy crept up the tall walls of the maze, squirming and squeezing its ways into all the nooks and crannies of the Maze. There was a loose rock and I half stumbled on it. Minho let go of my hand and ran faster, and I could tell he was pushing himself to do so. Sweat was pouring down his and my face, my long/short hair whipping my face as I ran. A couple small strands stuck to my forehead and some in my mouth.

"UP HERE, THIS SECTION IS CLOSING!" Minho shouted from ahead of me.

I turn to face the Griever and anger surges in my body. I wanted it dead.

"OVER HERE, ASSHOLE!" I screamed at it.
It screeched and I could hear the mechanical clicking of the metal behind me. I could see Minho on the other side of the closing section, yelling at me to hurry. The Griever roared and the walls were squeezing me. The Griever kept going, hungry for blood. I jumped out of the walls at the last second, and the Griever was nothing but a gushy slimy mess. One of its legs was sticking out the walls and still twitching. I layed on the ground, catching my breath. Minho helped me up, slowly. I shuddered and Minho led us me back to the entrance of the maze, waiting for it to open. The ground shook and the doors of the maze groaned, beginning to part.
