She wanted to know him, possess him. All that fire flashing in his eyes when he thought she didn't see needed to be unleashed.
~Godric/Emily~Nora stepped into the shower, the warm water cascading over her as she let her thoughts drift to Ghost. His presence lingered in her mind, occupying her thoughts more than she had anticipated. It wasn't a mere infatuation; it felt deeper, more significant.
As the steam enveloped her, she replayed their interactions, the way his touch had been gentle despite his rugged exterior, the way he had cared for her without hesitation. There was something about him that drew her in, something that made her feel safe yet curious to explore more of who he was beneath the mask.
She realized that her feelings for him were growing stronger. It wasn't just about his striking appearance or the mystery that surrounded him. It was about the man who had held her tenderly when she needed it the most, the man who had shown a side of vulnerability she hadn't expected.
She walked out of the shower wearing a bathrobe.
Her gaze shifted towards the cellphone on her bedside table. It wasn't hers; it was his. Though she knew she shouldn't touch it, she picked up the phone.
Curiosity got the better of her as she pressed the power button. To her surprise, it was unlocked.
"Surprising to see there's no password on his cellphone," she muttered.
Nora hesitated for a moment, feeling a mix of guilt and curiosity. She knew she should respect his privacy, but the temptation to learn more about him was overwhelming. She scrolled through his contacts, messages, and photos, hoping to find a glimpse into his life.
The messages were sparse, mostly professional exchanges with his team and superiors. No personal texts, no hints of a life outside his missions. It was as if Ghost existed only for his duty. There were a few photos, mostly landscapes and tactical setups, nothing revealing about his personal life.
One photo, however, caught her eye. It was an old, worn picture of a young boy with a woman who looked like his mother. They both had the same piercing brown eyes that she recognized in Ghost.
Looked like he loved his mom because only her picture was saved in his cellphone.
She smiled softly, realizing that this glimpse into his past was a rare treasure.Soap's number came to her mind. "I should save it," she thought. She opened the contacts, scrolling through, but found no name that matched Soap. Frustrated, she was about to put the phone back when an idea struck her.
"Why not get his number instead?"
She quickly dialed her own number from his phone. When his number flashed on the screen, she immediately cut the call and deleted the call log.
"Mission successful, I guess," she smiled to herself.
With a sense of accomplishment, she placed the phone back on the table. Now, she had his number saved, a small yet significant step towards breaking down the barriers between them. She hoped that having this connection might come in handy, and perhaps, it would bring them closer.
Nora changed into a silk top with jeans, took Ghost's cellphone, and walked to his room. She knocked softly on the door.
Ghost opened the door, now dressed in a black t-shirt that highlighted his biceps and tattoos, and black cargo pants. He looked rugged and imposing.
"Thanks! I was about to come and ask you," he said, taking the phone from her.
"Can I come inside?" Nora asked.
