When our souls touched

First meet

With food in one hand and a wet cloth in another , Genevieve sits nursing her gravely ill sister Elodie . Elodie has been sick for the past 8 days and there is still no sign of recovery . Their mother is working very hard to support her small family and do the best she can do for her two lovely daughters. Their father had passed away when Genevieve was only 3 and Elodie was 6 , their father was a caring and kind hearted man who loved to help others.

Since childhood , Genevieve had been a quiet kid . She was always immersed in her books and her countless silly hobbies . It was difficult for her sometimes because she had no father figure ever since her childhood. She loves her sister El very much but sadly Elodie has always been a sick child and never got to have much fun outside .

Genevieve was out of town to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer when she heard El had gotten sick and immediately rushed back to her hometown .

El- " I am so sorry Gen , I didn't want to bother you so much because I know how hard you are working for your dreams ! . I am so sick of being ill all the time ! , I am such a burden for you and mother ."

Gen - "No El , It's alright . You mean more to me then my dreams , I can keep them aside for you . It is not your fault you have become ill ,you know. You will get better in no time now that I am here to take care of you .

*Their mother enters the room *

Mother - " I am so glad to have you back Gen , I really am !. If it wasn't for you , I would have been struggling with both work and taking care of your poor sister ."

Gen- It's ok Mother , I am always here for you and El."

* The next day*

*knock on the door

Mother - " Gen can you go see who's at the door?"

Gen - " Sure"

*Gen opens the door *

Gen - " Hi, how can I help you ?"

"Hey , I'm Paris"

Gen - " What a beautiful name "

Paris - " I'm glad you liked it ."

" You must be Elodie's sister ? , my mom told me to give her some warm vegetable soup she made for her . I'm your new neighbor ."

Gen - " Oh what a lovely gesture !!. Please thank her , we are so grateful ."

" And yes , I am her sister , Gen. El would love to have this soup . "

Paris - " I have to leave now but I would love to talk to you again "

Gen - " Sure bye ! ,"
