The Apollo XV-700 is a slide-action magazine-fed blaster with its magazine well built into its handle. A safety feature prevents the blaster from being fired when not in use; the switch for this sits just above the firing trigger. On the rear of the blaster is a priming indicator that turns orange when the Apollo is primed.

A later revision of the Apollo saw the addition of an unjamming button, located on the left rear side of the blaster. When primed, pushing it down will deactivate the lock keeping the bolt closed, allowing the user to open the chamber and clear the jam by allowing the ball to free-fall out of the grip. This can be used to fire more than one round at a time.

A single tactical rail sits atop the blaster. It advertises a firing speed of a hundred feet per second.
