The Mercury XIX-500 is a single-fire bolt-action blaster with a five-round internal magazine. This magazine can be viewed through a clear window on the blaster's body, to see how many rounds are loaded in. While the bolt-action priming mechanism is not ambidextrous, the bolt piece itself is removable, screwing off with ease. This can be switched out to either side of the blaster, to accommodate for left-handed users.
Built into the back of the blaster is a priming indicator, which changes to orange when the blaster is fully primed. A set of iron sights atop the blaster helps the user with their aim.
The Mercury's trigger pull is notably heavier than other RIVAL blasters. A safety lock sits above the trigger on either side of the blaster.
There is one tactical rail located above the bolt-action mechanism.
