I was in complete shock. All I could hear was the loud cheering of the audience meanwhile I had my dancers hugging me.
I remember returning to the stage feeling my heart beating with an astonishing speed. I did it. I won the Benidorm fest.
My eyes were filled with tears as my inner child was having her dream coming true. I was going to participate in Eurovision and represent my country there! I couldn't believe it! I had been following every edition of the contest since I was a child and I couldn't assimilate the fact I was going to be part of that.

Hi there, my name is Adriana Lily and this is my story in Eurovision 2024 and how it changed my life in every aspect possible: professional and personal.

28th of March 2024

-Adriana! Have you put everything you need in your suitcase?-Asked my mum from her room. Believe me when I say that there is no voice more powerful than hers. It's literally impossible not to hear her talking, and trust me, you don't want her to scream at you, or else you'll turn deaf. She is the reason why the rest of Europe thinks that us, Spaniards, talk loud.

-I'm doing it!-I answered. But I really wasn't. I was watching a few interviews of some contestants of this year's Eurovision, especially the ones of the participants that I was going to meet that day, like Nemo or Luna, hoping that I could find something in common with them. That day was the first pre-party of Eurovision and it was going to take place in the capital of my country, Madrid.

-ADRIANA LILY LÓPEZ. WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING? DOU YOU REALIZE THAT YOUR TRAIN IS SUPPOSED TO LEAVE IN TWO HOURS? YOU ARE REPRESENTING A COUNTRY, SO YOU BETTER CATCH THAT TRAIN SEÑORITA.-Screamed my mum slamming my door. You may think that being a nineteen year old and getting scolded by your mom is a bit weird, but I think my mum is just a hundred times more nervous than me for the trip I was going to make.

-Mum don't worry I'll catch it. But please could you stop screaming? My ears hurt!

-Oh honey, I will scream from the top of my lungs if that is what makes you hurry.

-Not really. It only stresses me out. You have a very powerful voice!

-I know. And you can't complain because you know how good you sing thanks to my heritage.- Said my mum in an ironic way before exiting my room.

I did what she asked me and I started packing my things, but only after I put some music on. The driver of Måneskin was playing in my laptop. Half an hour later I was ready to leave.

When we arrived at the train station my jaw dropped. All my friends and family were there to say goodbye to me! They had a big banner with the words "¡Mucha suerte!" (good luck in Spanish) in it. I hugged everyone and then took a photo with them.

-We believe in you and know that you'll give your best.-Said to me Paula, my best friend.-And it doesn't matter if you end up among the five last places in the final, Spain always does. Whatever happens you should be-.

-Well Chanel...-Started saying Julio.

-Chanel was a goddess. If we didn't win with her, probably we'll never do. 2022 was absolutely rigged. -Stated María, another friend of mine. Wow, hands down to my friends for having the best encouraging words.
