-Good luck!- I wished Luna before she went on stage to sing her song.

-I'm sure you don't need luck, you're amazing.-Said Nemo.

Once again, we had to perform at the pre-party and then we would have a private party for all the artists performing that night.

Even when I should have been preparing for my performance I was only thinking about one thing, well, one person. I was thinking about the Croatian singer and how I could initiate a conversation, because saying “Hello Marko, why did you act so nice with me and then you act like a complete asshole?” didn't sound like a good idea…

By the corner of my eye I could distinguish Marko talking to the Estonian guys. He wasn't facing me, so he didn't notice that I was looking at him, not like one of the Estonian representatives who instantly did and told Marko to look in my direction.

When our eyes met we both started to walk into each other's direction. He had a worried face, the same he had that morning. We had so much to talk about and so little time.

-Adria, I'm so-

-Adri, I need you to follow me. You're performing after the representative of the Netherlands, who is about to go on stage.- Said one member of production interrupting Marko.

-Can we talk later?-Asked the white dyed haired boy.

I nodded and followed the production member to the stage in complete silence. I mentally prepared myself for the performance. From where I was standing I could see Joost singing. It was astonishing how many people screamed the lyrics and seemed to be having the time of their lives. Klein was truly a performer, he could make anybody come together and dance with him, it was like a superpower. The public really loved the number. For a moment I wondered if I could make a crowd that invested in my song like Joost did, and I asked myself what I was doing in Eurovision and whether it had been a good idea participating in the contest. But I tried to wipe that thought out of my mind.
Whenever I tried something I always doubted myself. Would it be enough whatever I did?

When Joost finished singing he received a standing ovation. I didn't know if I could take the stage after such a magnificent act.

I took a deep breath and walked to the center of the stage when my name was announced. I was really nervous. I looked around and saw Marko smiling at me from the left stage wing. He put his thumbs up and moved his mouth. I'm not very good at reading lips, but I was convinced that he said “break a leg” which is a way of saying good luck. I don't know how he did it, but I instantly felt more relaxed and momentarily forgot what had happened that previous 24 hours.

The music started and so did my singing. I could hear my voice filling the whole room but it wasn't the only thing I could hear, the public was screaming from the top of their lungs the lyrics. It truly was a wonderful feeling. Seeing people liking your work is very moving.

When I finished singing my heart was beating very fast. I was over the moon.
I thanked the public and left the stage with a big smile on my lips.

I stood in the right stage wing and watched Marko's performance. He really connected with the public and could also use it as their background singers as they screamed the chorus like there was no tomorrow. The atmosphere he created was unmatched. On stage he seemed so confident, so sure of himself, so passionate, so…

-Good night Adri.-A raspy voice from behind said. I wasn't expecting someone to be behind me, so I jumped a bit.
-Sorry if I scared you.-Said some man, but he didn't seem to be sorry at all. In fact, he seemed a bit arrogant and his vibe was a bit off. I thought maybe I was judging him too fast, but time demonstrated that I was in the right.
