-You are late! Where were you? I called you a thousand times but you were offline!-Natalia exclaimed when I approached the Spanish team. I closed my eyes while the woman was scolding me, every loud noise made my head spin.
-Please don't tell me you also have a hangover.-Also?- I looked around and saw my blonde friend looking pretty exhausted and with a bottle of water in his hand. David and I smiled at each other knowing that we had been caught.
-Now we have to go to the airport. We have a plane to catch.-Announced Natalia.
Once we were in the Airport, we were told that our flight had been delayed, so we had to wait for three hours.
Natalia, Julia and the rest of the team (staging members and the media team) went to a cafeteria. I have to admit that the size of the Heathrow Airport was truly impressive. I knew that with my bad sense of orientation I could get lost pretty easily, like a kid in a supermarket.
Sofia, David and I went to a Starbucks. The tall girl ordered a frappuccino, I ordered only water and David did the same (he had to empty his bottle before the controls of the airport). One thing I love about cafeterias in airports is that the tables usually have plugs and thanks to those plugs I could charge my mobile phone.
-So… You guys look miserable. One night. One f*cking night I miss and you both end up like this. Care to explain?
David and I looked at each other giggling. It had been a crazy night for both of us.
-Who wants to start?-Asked the girl.
I pointed to David while he did the same to me. Sofia looked at us, examining our faces and clothes.
-Adriana, I think I've never seen that t-shirt before. Have you gone shopping again?
Fuck, with all the hurry I hadn't had time to change my clothes. I smiled remembering how sweet and kind the Croatian boy had been. He had truly been an amazing person, I don't know what would've happened if he hadn't shown up to that party…
-To the same shop?-Asked the girl when I didn't answer.
I nodded slightly.
-SO, DID ANYTHING HAPPEN?
I closed my eyes.
-Please don't scream, my head hurts. But no, nothing happened.-I don't think I'm following the conversation…-Added the blonde boy.
-I don't believe you.-Sofia said to me, ignoring David completely.
-Sofia, I swear nothing happened. I just got super drunk and threw up many times. I ended up smelling like alcohol and puke so he just lent me some clothes.
-Yeah, but even having your room in the same building you decide to change at the clothes shop and then you arrive late to our meeting with the team. But hey, nothing happened.
-I swear it. We're just friends and he helped me when I was high as hell.-I sighted.
-Ummm, and where is this shop exactly?-Asked David.
-Shut up guiri, Why don't you tell us where you went with Silvester so early in the night?- I asked the boy. Sofia seemed so invested in the conversation and seemed like she was having so much fun. She really enjoyed gossiping. David's face turned red, filled with embarrassment.
He told us they went for a walk and talked for hours. Then they found a very empty club and started drinking. The way our friend was talking about Silvester revealed that he wasn't seeing him only as a friend.
I then explained what happened to me at that party and they both agreed that I'd been extremely reckless and lucky. That night could've ended really bad for me if Marko hadn't been such a kind person.
