"Fuck!" Jarvis yelled in agony as he held his rib cage with his glove. Tears damn near came out of his eyes because he was in so much pain.
He fell to the floor of the ring, trying to recover from the blow he'd received in his rib cage. Faye's head shot up from her phone.
Despite him still recovering from 2 broken ribs, he was still sparring and conditioning. So when Syx, his current sparring partner punched him in that area, it caused him to be in a lot of pain.
"Damn, Bro. I'm sorry, Man. I forgot you was hurt right there," he said, walking up to Jarvis to aid him. "It's cool, it's cool. I'm good. I just need a second," Jarvis said.
"Nah, you need to take yo ass home," KC said. "Man, I'm cool. It wasn't even that bad," Jarvis lied. "What happened?" Faye alarmingly asked. "Nothing, Baby," Jarvis said. But it obvious something had happened because he was bent over in agony.
"Syx punched him in his broken ribs. You should listen to your girl, Nigga," KC said. "Does he need to go to the hospital?" Faye asked. "Nah, he just need to rest for a couple weeks," his friend said.
"I'an got a couple weeks. I got a fight in August. You know that," Jarvis said in between heavy breaths. "Well, you gon have to take a couple weeks, or else yo ass is gon lose anyway. Look at you, Man," KC said firmly.
You had to talk to him like that or else he wouldn't listen.
"Come on. Get ya ass out the ring," KC offered help. "I said I'm good," Jarvis said. "But you can barely stand up. Bullshit," he said and forcefully helped Jarvis out of the ring.
With every move, he was in pain. He thought it would just go away within a few second or minutes, but he was wrong.
KC and Syx helped Jarvis to the bench beside the ring while Faye went to go grab his things and start his truck.
She came back in and helped him out on a jacket and get him ready to go. "I'ma wrap it when we get home, okay?" she said. "Okay, but I'm really aight," he lied. "Liar," she said and started to help him off the bench.
With the help of Faye, Jarvis got out of the gym and to the passenger side of his truck. Faye went over to the other side and got in.

"Babe, I can put on my own socks," Jarvis said. "Let me help you," she said. He sighed and let her help him put on his socks.
She'd helped him take his clothes off, shower, wash his face and everything. She just took a liking to helping him. She wanted him to be the dependent one for a change.
They got his socks on and she proceeded to very gently moisturize his skin. "Do you wanna wear pants?" she asked. "Nah, I'm good in these for right now," he said, referring to his Tom Ford boxer briefs. She nodded and grabbed the kinesiotape from the nightstand to tape his badly bruised rib cage.
He was still feeling a good bit of pain in that area, especially when she was taping it. The injury has to had been only about 3 days old. He got it from dropping a weight on his chest area when the bar slipped.
"I'm so sorry," Faye said lowly when he hissed from the pain. She paused for a second and kissed his forehead before starting to tape again.
