"Gimme 650," Jarvis said to his trainer. His trainer added the weight onto the bar without hesitation. Jarvis took a deep breath and then lifted the weight. He did it about 5 times and put that shit down.
"I'm done, Man," he said before throwing the weight lifting belt on the ground. He put this muscle shirt back on and grabbed his things before leaving the gym.
He then made his way home to get ready for his meeting. He had a plan.
___"Hi, Miss. Chandler, you have a guest here for you. Shall I send them?" her secretary asked. "What does the person look like?" Faye asked. "Tall, short curly haircut, full beard, and a mocha-toned skin," she described the person.
"Go ahead and send them," she rolled her eyes to herself. "Alrighty!" she said and hung up the phone. Faye sat down on the corner of her desk and waited for Jarvis to walk through the door.
She didn't know why he was so obsessed. She didn't know why he was so persistent. She just asked herself, "Why?"
The handsome man walked through the door of her office, shortly after the encounter they'd just had. "Good afternoon, Sir. Is there anything I can help you with? Please close the door behind you," she said in a nice-nasty way.
"I did apologize to her," Jarvis said. "Excuse me?" Faye asked, standing up straight and walking behind her desk. "I apologized to Paige. That day you threw that hot ass bowl of Chipotle on me. I went home, broke up with her, and apologized to her," he said, sitting down in the chair across from her desk.
"Okay?" Faye said. "Okay. You assumed that I didn't apologize to her or consider how she felt. I'll be honest, I didn't consider how she felt while I was with her, but I did apologize to her. In the end, I did try to right my wrongs. But now, she's the least of my concerns. I've moved on. Now, I'm breaking my fucking back to get 2 seconds of your time so that I can get my point across," he said. "And you still won't fucking listen. What does that sound like to you?" he asked.
She shrugged.
"It sounds like you stubborn as hell, but I'm falling in love with you anyway."
___
"You look gorgeous," Jarvis complimented the young woman as he opened the door for her. The black, low cut gown hugged her in all the right places. Everything looked perfect.
"Thank you," Faye blushed and stepped into the car. Jarvis closed the door behind the beautiful lady and walked to the other side. She examined the dash and looked in the backseat.
He had News or Something by Future playing lowly on the radio. One thing about Faye, she loved her some Future.
Faye eyed him as he got into the car. He eyed her back. "That red look good on you," he said. "Thank you. Your beard looks different, I like it," she said, and touched it a little bit.
He just started laughing. "Preciate it," he said and started driving. She didn't know how to initiate conversation with him because he made her so nervous, but she didn't want to get on her phone.
Believe it or not, he was nervous too. They were starting back over. He didn't want to do too much.
I bet you all are wondering; how did they get to this point?
