Haileys POV:
The lights from the concert still seemed to dance in my eyes as Taylor and I returned to her cozy Paris apartment. The night had been magical, filled with music, love, and the incredible announcement that I was now officially part of Taylor's life. The warmth from the crowd's cheers still lingered, making me feel enveloped in a bubble of joy and belonging.
As we settled in, the doorbell rang, breaking the comforting silence. Taylor stood up, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "That must be Travis," she said, heading towards the door.
I followed her with a mixture of curiosity and nerves. Travis, Taylor's boyfriend, had been a supportive figure in her life, and now it was time for me to meet him. Taylor opened the door to reveal Travis standing there with a bouquet of flowers and a warm smile.
"Hi, Taylor," he greeted, his eyes lighting up at the sight of her. He stepped inside, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before turning his attention to me. "You must be the amazing daughter Taylor's been talking about."
I blushed slightly, feeling both shy and excited. "Hi, Travis. It's nice to meet you."
Travis handed the bouquet to Taylor, who set it on the table with a smile. "These are beautiful, thank you," she said, then turned to me. "Travis, this is my foster daughter. She's been with me on this tour, and tonight was a big night for us both."
Travis extended his hand towards me. "It's great to finally meet you. Taylor's been so excited about having you with her."
I shook his hand, finding his presence warm and comforting. "It's nice to meet you too, Travis. Thank you for coming."
He smiled, his gaze kind. "I wouldn't miss it for the world. Tonight was incredible, by the way. You were amazing up there, Taylor."
Taylor beamed, her eyes twinkling with happiness. "Thank you, Travis. It was a special night for sure."
We moved to the living room, where Travis had brought a bag of groceries. "I thought we could all use some comfort food after such an amazing night," he said, unpacking ingredients for what looked like a hearty breakfast-for-dinner spread.
"That sounds perfect," Taylor said, her eyes soft with gratitude. "You always know just what we need."
As Travis and Taylor started preparing the meal together, I watched them with a sense of newfound family. Taylor occasionally glanced over at me, her smile reassuring. "How are you feeling, sweetheart?" she asked gently.
"A bit overwhelmed, but in a good way," I admitted, taking a deep breath. "Tonight was incredible. I still can't believe it happened."
Taylor walked over and gave me a warm hug. "I'm so glad you were there to share it with me," she whispered. "You made it even more special."
As we sat down to eat, the conversation flowed easily. Travis shared stories about his day, and Taylor recounted some funny moments from the concert. It felt comfortable and natural, like we had all been a part of each other's lives for much longer than just a few days.
After dinner, we moved to the couch, and Taylor suggested we watch a movie to wind down. She picked one of her favorites, a classic romantic comedy that had us all laughing and enjoying the light-heartedness.
Halfway through the movie, my eyelids grew heavy. The day's excitement and the warmth of the evening had taken its toll. I fought to stay awake, not wanting to miss a moment of this newfound family time, but soon, I found myself leaning against Taylor, my head resting on her shoulder.
She noticed and wrapped an arm around me, her voice soft and soothing. "It's okay to sleep, sweetheart. You've had a big day."
I nodded, feeling safe and content. As I drifted off, I heard Taylor's voice murmuring to Travis, "Thank you for being here. It means a lot to have you with us."
