Dad's Obsession

Chapter 11: Breakfast

We headed to my car and buckled in and when I started my car we were bombarded with loud volume music I quickly turned it down before putting my seatbelt on "Jesus Willow how tone deaf are you for you to be listening to music that loud" Amelia asked laughing a little as I pulled out of the driveway and down the road "It wasn't me Alex borrowed my car last week because he's had a busted light or something of the sort he said" I say stopping at a red light "Is he still driving with the busted light?" "Yeah but only to school and he can no longer drive my car because he trashed it with junk food, Dad made him clean the whole car" I laugh as the light turns green and I start driving again "Umh yeah that sounds like something Alex would do," Amelia says smiling "What are you going to order?" Amelia asks, looking at me. I look back at her and smile but I turn back toward the road because I don't want to die.

"Properly the same thing I always get 2 by 2 that comes with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and some bacon," I say turning right "What are you going to get?" "Properly the Buttermilk Biscuit & Gravy Combo," Amelia says looking out the window "OH that sounds good maybe I'll get that instead and we can just bring it to the house and eat there if you want" "Yeah that sounds good to me," she says as I turn into the parking lot and park, we get out of the car, "I hope you know I didn't bring my wallet so that means..." I look at Amelia "I know why do you think I grabbed my purse for" "Well I was just making sure you knew" I say as we enter the building and start to order our combo meals, "How about we also get a coffee for your dad what kind does he drink?" "I don't know, I think just plain black coffee" "Okay, Hi sorry could we also get a large black coffee with our combo meals and drinks," Amelia asks pulling out her wallet from her purse "Yeah of course would that be all for today?" "Yeah, that'll be all thanks. ''

Amelia hands the worker her card and pays for the food. We sit down while we wait for the food, we hear a 'ding' sound and I see Amelia get her phone out from her purse as I look at her I notice that her expression is changing wildly by the minute as she is on the phone until she turns it to me. "Look at this'' Amelia shows me a post about my house and how it got egged last night. I take the phone from her hands "Are they bragging about egging my house?" I ask while reading the long post and looking at all the pictures "Yep and it seems that the person who was behind the egging of your house was also the girl whom you got in a fight with the other day" Amelia says, taking back her phone and putting it back in her purse. "Oh, so it was that girl uh didn't think that she had the balls to do anything," I say leaning back in my chair with my arms crossed over my chest "You aren't mad?" Amelia asks leaning a little closer to me to see if I'm faking my expression "No not really I mean all she did was egg my house and besides we are going just to do something worse to her house in return" I say sitting up properly now with a smirk on my face "We are?" Amelia asks confused because she didn't agree to anything "Yes we are and it's going to be tonight we are going to egg her house back but also T-pee it and give her a little special something I mean after all it is Halloween she can't blame us without some kind of proof" "But what happens if she does get some kind of proof of us doing that stuff to her house" "Like what? What kind of proof would she have" "Cameras what if she has cameras" "Then we'll just say that she deserved it because she egged my house first and we have proof we can take a picture when we get back to the house and we can screenshot this post and use it against her if she tries anything else'' I say with my arms up in the air like I just won the lottery. "I mean that does sound lik-" "Amelia I have some orders for Amelia''

We hear the servier yell while Amelia is in the middle of her sentence "Me that's me" Amelia goes and gets the bag of food and our drinks and I head to the door to hold it open for her "Thank you" "No problem" we head to the car and I unlock the door and let Amelia inside first because her hands are full. I start the car and drive out of the parking lot and onto the road "Do you think your dad has woken up yet and seen the eggcident'' Amelia says with a smile and a little giggle "Did you just make a pun out of the egging on my house" "Yeah" I roll my eyes a little "But to answer your question no I don't think he has seen it yet otherwise he would have called me a thousand times already" "Well you haven't checked your phone since we left the house so maybe he has called you" "Yeah maybe" we stop at a red light. I get my phone out of my pocket and check to see if I got a call while we have been gone "Yeah I did get a call and it is from Dad" "Do you think he knows" "I don't know but I would think that if he did that he would have called me more" I call dad back. Still, the light turns geen so I give the phone to Amelia and she puts it on speaker phone so that I can talk and drive at the same time. "Hello" "Hey Dad you called" "Yeah I woke up and you and Amelia weren't here I was wondering where you guys went" "We went to ZippoA for some breakfast," Amelia says into the phone answering for me so that I can focus more on the road then on talking and getting into a fender bender "Oh really what did you guys get" "We both got some Buttermilk Biscuit & Gravy Combo, and I got you a black coffee sorry if you don't drink plain black coffee" "You got me something Amelia?"

Dad asks with a little tone in his voice but I just thought that was from the phone oh how I was so wrong back then. "Yeah I got you a black coffee Willow says you drink it" "Umm yeah I do I was just surprised that you got me something with your own money you didn't have to do that" "Well I didn't want you to be left out so I got you a coffee sorry I didn't get you any food only the coffee" "Its fine I normally don't eat breakfast because I like to sleep in a little more before I go to work in the morning" "Do you have work this morning Dad?" I ask turning down our block road "Not this morning but I don't know about this evening I'll have to check my calendar and see" "Okay well we are here Dad so we are going to hang up now, Bye" "Bye girls" "Bye Mr. Smith" "Bye Amelia" I hang up the phone and park the car not catching that my Dad said bye to Amelia twice and I don't think she caught it either because she was trying to unbuckle her seatbelt while not spilling anything "Here I'll take in the food you take in the drinks" I say grabbing the bag of food and getting out and locking the door after Amelia gets out as well.
