Today is me and Kevin's wedding anniversary. I'm actually kinda happy about today. When we were married I was scared. I wanted things to not end badly. Kevin had always made the plans for us, never me. So today I'm hoping things go well.
I was on FaceTime with Darrian while I was getting dressed.
"Are you sure about getting back together with him?" Darrian asked
"Yes. He's really changed Darrian. That abusive guy isn't there anymore," I said putting my sweatshirt on
"What if he hits you again? I mean it can happen," Darrian said
"He won't. He's been going to therapy but he doesn't know that I know that," I said
"Please be careful. Kevin is a crazy nigga," Darrian said
Oh I know 🙄
"I'm about to head downstairs. He's supposedly cooking down there and I don't want my house to burn down," I said
Me and Darrian are still on the phone as I walking out the room. I got to the stairs and seen white and red rose petals everywhere at the bottom of the stairs. Heart balloons were hanging up and couple of gift bags were there as well. A big smile formed across my face seeing this cute surprise. Kevin came from the kitchen with his arms folded and a big smirk on his face

"I'll call you back D," I said ready to explode
"Y'all finna get freakyyyy," Darrian said hanging up
"Happy Anniversary baby," Kevin said opening his arms
"Thank youuu!" I said jumping in his arms
I was cheesing real hard as he put me down. I was still in awe at the beautiful sight in front of me.
"Ethan took Dakota for the day. So we have the whole day and night to ourselves," Kevin said slithering his arm around my waist
"That's sounds nice," I said
"Open the gifts. I think you'll like them," Kevin said
"Kev, thank you this surprise. It's really really beautiful," I said honestly
"When we were married, my appreciation for you wasn't good. I'm not gonna be like that anymore," Kevin said
I smiled and grabbed the two bags that had my name on them. I opened the first bag which had a pair of Amiri sneakers in them. They were black and white with stars on them. The other bag that I opened had a matching set from Louis Vuitton. Both these gifts made me jump back in Kevin arms.
