I made a big decision today for our well being and for our future, I hope I was not reckless. I took them both to my house. As soon as we entered my home my mother started screaming.
" why the hell did you bring these girls here. You should have let them rot to die " she sprewed nonsense. Both Abi and Akila were holding on to eachother. They are my responsibility so I have to take stand for them.
" Amma " I screamed out in anger. It was the first time I have raised my voice against her.
" not even a single word " I said and took them both to my room. I brought water and gave it to both of them.
" How did he come to know about your love affair Akila " I asked as she was in Abi's embrace.
" someone noticed and told him " she mumbled quietly.
" I asked you to be careful but still ... it's okay. Let's be positive and think everything happens for a reason " I sighed.
" Your mother " Abi fumbled with her words.
" we will by tomorrow morning, so just bear with it for this night." I said smiling a bit.
Few minutes later I brought an icebag and gave it Akila as her cheeks were swollen. It was painful to see her face. I made both of them have dinner inside room though my mother was grumbling outside.
" you guys sleep on the bed , I will sleep on the floor " I said making the bed.
" no maama... you guys sleep on the bed I will sleep on the floor " Akila spoke .
" maama... hmmm... since you insist and I can't deny... we both will sleep on the floor " I said winking at Akila and pulled Abi from the bed.
" Harish.. " Abi shrieked and hit me on my arm.
" I never insisted I just gave you a chance to be with her " Akila taunted.
" thank you your majesty " I said bowing down and she rolled her eyes at me. I switched off the lights as we retired to our beds
" keep your hands off her or atleast try to be quiet " Akila said as I laid on the mattress beside Abi.
" I will wait until you fall asleep Akila " I said back while Abi hit her head with her hands.
" both of you stop this and go to sleep " Abi said trying to be stern. I pulled her tightly into my embrace and placed my head in the crook of her neck. I placed a kiss there and mumbled her to sleep...
