Story:
Taehyung had always been known as the handsome heir calm, charming, and dangerously devoted and the only girl he had ever loved was Jennie. Their families were bound by blood and broken by greed. Jennie's father and Taehyung's mother were siblings, heirs to an enormous fortune left behind by their parents. What should have united them instead destroyed them. Arguments over who would control the property escalated into hatred, and eventually, the families severed all ties. Despite everything, Taehyung never gave up on Jennie. He believed love was enough. He believed they could live happily without inheritance, without titles but Jennie though she loved Taehyung just as deeply loved her father more. She couldn't bear the thought of being the reason her father despised her. So when her parents arranged her marriage to Kai, she agreed. Kai was dangerous violent, arrogant, and cruel. He enjoyed hurting people and was obsessed with Jennie's beauty. She felt uncomfortable every time he touched her, but she endured it silently, sacrificing herself for her father's happiness.
On the day of the wedding, just as Jennie stood at the altar, Taehyung stormed in with his parents and stopped the ceremony. What he revealed shattered everything. Taehyung exposed the truth: his father and Jennie's mother were having an affair. Taehyung's father had betrayed his wife with Jennie's mother, and Jennie's mother had betrayed her husband with Taehyung's father. The once-respected billionaire family fell into disgrace instantly. Jennie refused to believe it. She demanded proof. Taehyung silently handed over his father's phone. Messages filled the screen late-night texts addressed to "Darling." The number belonged to Jennie's mother. Taehyung admitted he had often overheard his father whispering secretly on the phone. The truth hit like a blade. Jennie's father collapsed from a heart attack.
At the hospital, chaos erupted. Jennie, devastated, lashed out at her mother but Taehyung's father slapped Jennie instead, his voice cruel and bitter.
"Your father was no saint. He slept with women from clubs, paid them, got them pregnant and cared more for their children than for you. We didn't cheat. We loved each other."
Taehyung snapped. "Then what about my mother?"
Jennie's mother turned to Taehyung's mother and whispered that her younger sister had been better than her but she, too, had made unforgivable mistakes.
"My mother is a good woman" Taehyung said firmly.
Taehyung's father laughed darkly. "She tried to kill her own husband when your grandparents said the one in the most difficult situation would inherit the property. If not for Jennie's mother saving him, he would've died"
Only then did Jennie realize how much blood had been spilled for wealth.
Shattered, Jennie left the hospital alone still wearing her wedding gown. Her mind was numb, her heart hollow. She walked blindly into the road. A car hit her. Taehyung ran toward her screaming her name. When Jennie woke up in the ICU, the doctor delivered devastating news: she had lost all her memories. Trying to force them back could do more harm than good. Taehyung made a terrible decision. He chose to lie.
Taehyung became Jennie's entire world. He cared for her, spoiled her, never raised his voice, never crossed her boundaries. He learned every little thing she liked and erased everything she hated. Slowly, Jennie fell in love with him. One day, she smiled shyly and said, "Usually men confess first... but I love you." Taehyung's heart broke and healed at the same time They dated in secret. Taehyung told Jennie her parents were dead and took her to Italy, hoping distance would bury the truth forever but fate wasn't done
Kai returned. Pretending to be a concerned friend, he planted lies claiming Taehyung was cheating, mocking Jennie behind her back, searching for another woman. Every time, Taehyung managed to defend himself. Taehyung warned Jennie repeatedly that Kai was dangerous.
But Jennie insisted, "He's not like that. He's my best friend
Until the day Jennie saw Taehyung laughing with another woman at a café. Blind with pain, Jennie stormed in and threw hot coffee at the woman. She didn't know the truth. The woman was Irene, Taehyung's best friend. Taehyung, shocked and furious, slapped Jennie. That single moment convinced her of betrayal. Jennie threw away the ring Taehyung had given her on their first anniversary and walked out.
Dizzy and trembling, Jennie collapsed emotionally. Kai appeared like a savior, hugged her and smirked when she wasn't looking. Later, Irene found Jennie and revealed everything. She didn't care about the coffee burn but she wouldn't let Taehyung's life be destroyed. Taehyung had never cheated. Kai was manipulating her and the memories Jennie had lost? Irene and Kai had worked together to make her remember again. The truth crushed Jennie. That night, Taehyung came home with flowers, apologizing for losing control. Jennie threw the bouquet at his chest.
"Why did you lie to me? What did I do to deserve this?"
Rain poured. Thunder roared. Taehyung searched frantically, knowing Jennie was terrified of storms. He found her unconscious near a playground. Just like before. At the hospital, as Jennie drifted in and out of consciousness, she whispered, "Kim Taehyung... is that you?"
The next day, both families arrived. Taehyung's father raised his hand but Jennie stopped him.
"No one gets to hurt him anymore"
She looked at them all and said calmly, "Property doesn't matter. Money doesn't matter. A life with the one you love does."
Jennie apologized to Taehyung for doubting him, for trusting Kai. She revealed the final truth: Irene had only worked with Kai to bring Jennie's memories back. In reality, Irene was with Suho. Kai was with Krystal. Everything fell into place and for the first time, love finally won
