Story:

Jimin, the crown prince of Alexander Palace, was known throughout the kingdom as flawless. Intelligent, brave, and kind to his people yet beneath that perfection lived a quiet flaw: his pride. He rarely bowed his heart, even when he should. Across the river stood Alice Palace, ruled by grace and wisdom. Its future queen, Rose, was everything people admired gentle yet firm, beautiful yet fearless. The river between their kingdoms was narrow, but fate had a way of making distances dangerous.

-----------------------------------------------------------

One evening, chaos erupted. Villagers gathered at the riverbank, fighting violently over which palace deserved to rule the entire country. Some pledged loyalty to Alexander Palace, others to Alice Palace. The clash grew bloody. Jimin watched in silence, detached. The kings and queens Jimin’s and Rose's parents argued openly, each claiming their palace was superior. Then Rose stepped forward. Her voice was calm, steady, commanding respect. She spoke not of power, but of peace declaring that both palaces were worthy, and that unity mattered more than pride. Slowly, the villagers backed down, ashamed. As Rose turned to leave, Jimin's eyes followed her. He was stunned by her beauty, her courage, her authority but instead of admiration, his ego whispered: I play with her heart.

-----------------------------------------------------------

On her way home that night, Rose's horse suddenly limped, injured. It was already past midnight. Her parents had returned earlier, leaving her alone in the dark forest. Strange whispers echoed through the trees. She turned nothing. Then she noticed her horse's eyes glowing red. When she blinked, they were closed. Fear crept into her chest. Unwilling to abandon her horse, Rose chose to stay in the jungle. As she walked, footsteps followed her. She quickened her pace until a blood-stained hand landed on her shoulder. She froze. Behind her stood a woman with red eyes, long black hair, a white dress soaked in blood her face twisted like a nightmare. The ghost's voice was low and hollow: Don't you dare talk to my Jimin. Then she vanished. Rose collapsed in terror, whispering one name she had never known before. Jimin.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Shaken, Rose went to the river to clear her mind, convincing herself it had been a hallucination. Another hand touched her shoulder. She screamed but a warm palm covered her mouth. A man stood behind her, smirking.

"I'm Jimin. Why is a pretty girl like you alone in the jungle?

Rose's blood ran cold. The ghost's warning echoed in her mind.

"Don't talk to me, Jimin"
She snapped, standing abruptly. Jimin laughed, amused, and followed her relentlessly, teasing her all night. Exhausted, they eventually fell asleep beneath the stars. By morning, Rose was gone. Jimin stared at the empty clearing, intrigued.

"Interesting. She didn't fall for me."

-----------------------------------------------------------

Days turned into months. Jimin often visited Alice Palace under the excuse of discussing village affairs. Rose tried to avoid him, but Jimin despised being ignored. He teased her, interrupted her, provoked her until slowly, against her will, Rose fell in love. She convinced herself the ghost had been a dream. Or perhaps that ghost belonged to a different Jimin. Gathering her courage, Rose confessed her feelings. Jimin loved her too but his pride betrayed him.
He rejected her cruelly. Rose cried, humiliated and furious. That night, Jimin regretted everything. He planned to apologize the next day but Rose wandered back into the jungle broken, sobbing until she reached the place where she had first seen the ghost. A shadow emerged and this time, it entered her body.

-----------------------------------------------------------

The next morning, Jimin sent a letter asking to meet her. They met at the park. Jimin apologized sincerely but Rose didn't look at him. When he lifted her face, tears streamed down her cheeks. She pulled away without a word. From that day on, Rose changed. She no longer smiled. She spoke to no one. Not even to Jimin.
Something was wrong.

-----------------------------------------------------------

One night, Jimin secretly entered Rose's room. She lay on her bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. He lay beside her. She turned away. When he hugged her, she suddenly shoved him violently and screamed:

"Don't touch me, Park Jimin!"

Her hair lifted unnaturally. Her face darkened. Blood spilled from her lips.
Jimin froze. An angel had turned into a demon. She collapsed unconscious.
Terrified, Jimin summoned both royal families and confessed everything. His parents scolded him but fear outweighed anger. This wasn't heartbreak. This was possession.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Days passed. Rose seemed slightly better. Then came a moonless night.
The palace lights went out. In the grand hall, Rose cried hysterically as a man appeared Liam, Jimin's sworn enemy. Rose slapped Jimin suddenly, clinging to her parents. Liam laughed. He had been using black magic to control Rose, driven by hatred for Jimin's happiness but something went wrong. A shadow emerged behind Rose stronger, darker. Liam screamed. The shadow wasn't his magic. It was Mia the ghost who loved Jimin and died long ago. She attacked Liam viciously, fueled by obsession and grief. After defeating him, Mia turned to Jimin.

"Come with me. I loved you first.'

Jimin shook his head.

"I'm sorry. I love Rose. She's the first woman who ever made me cry."

Mia screamed in rage, hurting Rose one last time but love overpowered hatred. Mia vanished. Rose slowly recovered. This time, Jimin didn't hesitate. He knelt before her not as a prince, but as a man and confessed his love.
