Chapter 11

"Mrs. Shelly Querino Garcia."
Napangiti sya sa tunog nang magiging pangalan nyang iyon.

"Well it has a nice ring to it."
Rowena replied.
Her friend since college and now, her maid of honor.

"So.... The weddings finally around the corner . I'm so happy for you Shelly."
Hinawakan nito ang kamay nya at niyakag siya.

"Well, hopefully matuloy na ngayun. We had to postpone it since inuna ni Tita ang kasal nina Ali."
Pilit siyang ngumiti.

She always tells herself that it's alright and she's still going to marry the man she loved. But a part of her is hesitant.

Alam namn niyang may anak ito sa ibang babae at natitiis naman niya na isawalang-bahala lamang iyon.

" How's your relationship with Kevin anyways? I thought you too are going to break up after what happened. But I guess your love for him is still strong."
Bilib na komento ni Rowena.

That's not true.

Akala nang lahat okay lang siya.
Akala nila wala lang sa kanya ang mga nangyari kasi pinipilit padin niya ang kasal niyang dalawa ni Kevin.

"Yeah...well, you'll do anything for the one you love. Right?"

Hinarap niya ito at pilit uling ngumiti.

"You're lying."
Nakataas ang isang kilay nito habang nakatitig sa kanya.

"I know you're hurt Shelly. And I can see that. Ayoko nang maging plastic. And I mean it when I say na Iwan mo nalang si Kevin."

Natahimik siya sa sinabi nito.
Mariin siyang napapikit at niyakag si Rowena.
She can't hold her tears anymore.

She's been holding her pain inside long enough.

"I can't. I love him."

"Shhhh... Tahan na..."
Rowena handed her a tissue.

"Ilabas mo yan She.... Wag mo yang itago. I'm here. I'm listening."
She showed her a genuine smile.

"I want to.... I want to leave him, I'm willing to do what's right. Papakawalan ko siya cause I know that child needs a father. I know na si Kevin dapat ang nagpakasal kay Myrian at hindi si Ali."

Inalayan siya ni Rowena na maupo sa silya.

"Then why didn't you?"

Napatitig siya kay Rowena  sa tanong na iyon.

"I can't."
Napailing sya.

"I've been with Kevin for 11 year. And I... I'm not that strong to give him up."
Napayuko siya.

"I don't know what will happen to me if ever I did choose to give him up. He's the only one who accepted me and still wants to marry me even if I can't give him a child."

She's infertile and can't produce.
She already tried ko many doctors but none of them can give her any reasons of why she can't produce.

She knew Kevin loves her because he still wants to marry her even after she said that she's infertile.

" Tawagin na nila akong manhid. They can call me a bitch because hindi ako pumayag na pakasalan ni Kevin si Myrian.... Pero they don't know what I'm feeling. I'm to dependent of Kevin. No one could understand it. Gusto ko Rin namn Gawin ang tama. Pero I just can't Wena... I can't. "
Humahagugol nitong kwento kay Rowena.

" I know.... I know... Shh... It's going to be okay. "
Hindi maiwasang maawa ni Rowena sa kaibigan.

Alam naman niya na mahal na mahal ni Shelly si Kevin at totoo din ang sinabi nito na napaka dependable nito kay Kevin.
