3RD PERSON POV

As soon as the monitors went off and directed the students to head to the fountain in the greenhouse, Ranmaru quickly headed over towards said greenhouse. When he arrived, he just so happened to be the first there, and he took the time to examine the new statue that sat there. Instead of the fountain statue having a mans head, it now had the head of monkuma, which incredibly creeped ranmaru out. After a few minutes, everyone else arrived by the fountain and waited patiently.

"So this is the shrine of judgement..." Kaito examined, frightened by the statues' new head.

"And yet Monokuma is nowhere to be seen. What's going on...?" Kirumi questioned.

"If I had to guess... he isn't gonna show up and just tell us, what a pain..." Ranmaru complained whole he scratched the back of his neck.

As if on cue, suddenly, the vase the statue was holding broke as the statue descended into the ground. The flowing mini waterfall behind it suddenly parted in the middle, which revealed a massive metal elevator that was hidden in plain sight.

"I- is that an elevator!?!?" Kaede yelled out.

"The school continues to amaze me and frighten me at once..." Ranmaru muttered.

"Does he want us to board??" Keebo wondered out loud. Getting the jist, everyone boarded the elevator. Once the last person had entered, the elevator started to descend, shaking on its way down.

Everyone partook in small talk on the way down, but Ranmaru stayed silent. He was standing against the corner of the elevator beside Korekiyo and Angie. He had a good view of everyone in there but focused on 2 certain people.

Kaede and Shuichi, who were currently whispsering to each other. The two people who took charge of believing the mastermind were Rantaro's killer. He didn't buy it, though. He knew they would become heavily involved in this case... and he was certainly already suspicious of them. He also thought back to the cameras, despite the photos being disposed of, Ranmaru still had a feeling in the back of his head that it wouldn't end well for him.

Eventually, the elevator came to a stop, and they all exited the elevator. The courtroom was incredibly futuristic, and all the walls had glass-pane windows on them. Even the 17 stands were modern.
All the monokubs had their own miniature stands, which stood below a grand red velvet armchair, which Monokuma quickly appeared in.

"Welcome to the class trial!!!" The monokubs greeted the group with eagerness in their voice. They instructed the students to all find their spot within the circle of seats. Ranmaru found his spot in between Kaede and Himiko. He had nerves violently beating at his thoughts as he stood there waiting to begin.

Once everyone was sat down, Monokuma explained the rules to everyone. Ranmaru listened intently to it but also noticed something else. He saw Monophanie staring at him while also rubbing her bandages. For some reason, he felt as if she knew he was the one who took the photos.

"Well.... where will we begin???" Ryoma asked.

"I say, we just go over the basics for now." Kaede advised. Everyone agreed as they began talking.

"Rantaro's body was found just before the time limit, right?" Tenko confirmed.

"And he died by blunt trauma.." Ranmaru added.
