The love that make us empathetic enough to go through a date thinking about it as more of a family dinner, than what it really is.
However, the end of it, for Françoise Dupont High School's students means that school is back on full speed. Being it not bad enough for Chloe Bourgeois it also meant that she had to say goodbye to her best friend.
Some of you must be thinking, "what do you mean by 'goodbye' and 'best friend'?", well depending of the people that you have heard from there's two very distinct views about the same girl. Some say that she is a bully and no good for anything whore, while in the other hand, her real friends say that she's a good friend, works hard to archive her goals and she's in a serious relationship and would never cheat because she is of the opinion that only someone with no morals would stand so low.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng is the girl that this topic is all about. She was threatened by a liar; physically and mentally abused by this liar, former friends and former crush; silenced by the bullies and practically everyone in Paris when she was just simple-old-Marinette; suffered an attempt of rape by the hands of Chat Noir that didn't took a NO for a NO, he lost his miraculous after Plagg forced a distranformation on him. All by herself, Marinette was forced to protect and save the city that was determined to destroy her. When she was 16, she left Paris after defeating Hawkmoth. She moved to London to attend a fashion school, with her parents' blessing, only coming back to see the friends and family that she had leave behind.
Today was the first day back in school and Chloe, that's a few months away from turning 18, had just passed in Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie as Marinette had ask-not asked, she demanded it. Chloe was surprised that there was already a request, made on her name, waiting for her: the new recipe that Marinette had create with her boyfriend, but she thought it was sweet of her "sister" to show that even in another country she still remembers her.
The time passed, same old, boring and dumb class, with some exceptions, of course. When lunch time arrived, Chloe decided to share her treat from Mari's with her friends, but she should have known that in that school she can't do anything without someone crying out how of a bully and selfish they are.
"Chloe, what are you eating? Can I have one, please?" said a voice that everyone, with a brain, would know that it means pure evil.
"This is a new recipe from one of the best bakeries of the city, if you want one you can go buy one. This is for me and my friends." Chloe answered, only to be answered by insults of how she was selfish and that they were going to turn even more fat.
"Ooh, I know the new recipe. I helped that bakery developed it. It was so gratifying for me that I was able to help others" said Lila, receiving compliments of her so called archivements.
"Are you saying Lila that you helped this bakery create this new recipe?" Asked Nathaniel showing the sweet inside of the box so she could have a better look "Are you sure that it is this one?"
"YES! It's exactly that one, I remember perfectly fine. Are you doubting me?" Asked her with a voice that if Chloe and her friends didn't knew, they would bet that she was on verge of starting to cry.
"Interesting, very interesting taking in account the bakery that this is from..." said Juleka showing of the logo of the bakery and letting them know which bakery it was.
"That's Dupain-Cheng's bakery and her parents hate you Lila... You lied! If you lied about this, who is to know about what more have you lied?" said Alix with a touch of disappointment in her voice.
"YES, so what? Yes, I lied and you all eated up my lies as if it was the best caviar in the world, as if you could afford it. Some friends you were ah? Please, let's be honest, I did Marinette a favour when I showed her who were her real friends here. Ladybug literally shouted that I was lying in Adrien's face and he still turned his back on her 'take the highroad' the bitch said. Dupain-Cheng took the highroad, Agreste, she's out of your reach. I would have loved to see if you would have done that if you knew that she was Ladybug all along, Mr. Chat Noir. Ooh, yes, you bullied and made Ladybug leave Paris, it's kinda of obvious, after all both of them left Paris at the same time." said Lila, each word being filled with poison and venon "I made up a lot of lies, I threatened her, but I never forced you all or anyone to bully her, being it physically or mentally. That's your doing, and you all are going to have to live with the idea that Ladybug, Marinette Dupain-Cheng left Paris because it was leaving or dying."
"SHUT UP LILA" a scream full of anger was heard across from the room
"Ooh, oohh, it would have been so poetic. The lady being killed by the kitty. By the man that tried to rape her." Sounds of gasping were heard from almost everyone while Lila stood in the middle of the room smirking "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, they say. The father is Hawkmoth. The son is a obsessed, repulsive man that goes as far as to attempt rape. Poor Marinette, really got rid uh?!" ironically questioned her. "Taking in account that this pastries were the cause of my fall, can I know why do you have them?"
"Marinette demanded me to go to the bakery, when I arrived there this was waiting for me. This is indeed a new recipe, however it was created by Marinette and her boyfriend" said Chloe using a tone as if she was explaining the weather.
"BOYFRIEND?" interrogated Adrien with a tone that screamed, that even people from miles away understood, trouble.
"Yes, boyfriend. And you know, it kinda of says a lot that you don't know about it" explained Chloe.
"What do you mean with that? What's his name?" interrogated Adrien.
"Felix Graham de Vanily, your lady is riding your cousin, Adrikins. And you can bet, it's their pleasure!" provoked Chloe.
And with that, the class exploded with questions and, in Adrien's case, empty threats. While in Paris the City of Love had turned to be City of Drama, in London some people were enjoying having more days of holidays thanks to having Monarchy. Yes, riding it was indeed a great hobby in Marinette's opinion!
