Armed with information and facts, Alya and Adrien headed back to school. Marinette headed to the local B&M store, where she had seen the much needed prop for a vital part of their plan online. Nino met up with his girlfriend and best friend (mandatory fist bump and 'bro' greeting carried out), and the duo informed him of what they were planning. The DJ was impressed after being shocked at what they had found, and was eager to play his own part in the take down of the liar.
"Dudes! I should have known," Nino felt ashamed that he had let his long standing friendship with the budding designer be almost cast aside because of the liar. "I should never have doubted her."
Alya looked at her boyfriend sympathetically, "you're not the only one babe, we have all been blinded by her in one way or another."
"None of that matters now, Mari understands," Adrien smiled kindly at his best friend, "besides, when all this is over, I think we need some much needed bro time!"
"Most definitely dude!" After everything that had happened recently, Nino felt neglected, but with explanations given, the cap wearing lad was just happy to have his best bro back. He was determined to help, after all, his friendship with Marinette went way back, and he felt he owed her this much at least, for overlooking the now obvious lies.
Adrien parted ways with them first, shortly followed by Nino as Alya put the first part in motion. Once locating Miss Bustier, she asked if they could do a conference call in class with Ladybug. She gave the reasoning that the hero wanted to check in on the class and give them some much needed new information. Miss Bustier was very aware of the amount of times an Akuma had targeted one of her students, she herself had been targeted, so saw it fit for her class to be contacted. After she had asked why it was not to be publicly announced of course.
Alya pointed out that the heroes would want to keep this information on the low, so Hawkmoth would not know they may be on to him. At this point, the reporter needed to congratulate herself with her ingenuity and on the spot thinking, as she continued to hide the real motives for the conference call. While Alya had been keeping Miss Bustier busy, Nino and Adrien started to go about their own tasks for the plot.
Nino had an idea of how to open up his can of worms, in the form of a simple conversation with Juleka, with her being an avid Jagged Stone fan she would certainly be able to help in this scenario. She was stood with Rose, Nathaniel, Mylène and Ivan, waiting by their classroom door, enjoying the last moments of the lunch break, before they started their afternoon of education.
"Hey dudes and dudettes!" Nino waved happily at the group, receiving a collective greeting in return. "I'm glad I seen you guys actually, I want your opinion on an idea I've had for a remix-"
They all seemed to perk up with his words, the members of the band paying particular interest.
"-I was listening to some Jagged Stone last night," he held up his phone with Jagged Stone's albums visible to the group. "And I couldn't find the one he wrote about Lila-"
"That's because it's not out yet!" Rose chimed up enthusiastically, "she said it would be on his next album-"
"That's what I thought too," he looked perplexed at his phone, "but Marinette got me a copy, because her and Jagged are really close, and it's not on there."
"Strange," Juleka squinted her visible eye in thought, "I thought he had already released it."
"No silly," Rose waved off understandingly, "remember, she said he was putting it on his next album-"
Nathaniel spoke up, "no, I don't think she actually specified when it had been released..."
Ivan grunted, Mylène looked at Nino with curiosity. "I forgot Marinette and Jagged were close, she designed his Album cover didn't she."
