Summary:
Tikki is so done. Marinette is getting bullied, and used, and both physically and emotionally injured by those bloodhounds. So, she does the only rational thing: kicks Ms. Bustier to the curb and takes over as the teacher. Because if Bustier won't protect Marinette, she sure as hell will. Tikki was livid. She sat in Marinette's purse, forced to watch as her classmates bullied and used her and-- did that Ladyblogger girl just stab Marinette with scissors!? The slow trickle of blood leaking from Marinette's arm was answer enough. It shouldn't be too bad, just a bandage would fix it up probably, but it didn't stop Tikki from getting angrier. The hurt expression that flickered across Marinette's face as Alya kept shouting at Marinette with Lila egging her on.That was it.
That was the last straw.
Weeks of her chosen being treated like this, Tikki was finally done. No more of 'they're just kids, they don't know any better' no more 'its just a misunderstanding', those were lies and Tikki was done. Had they always been this awful or Lila had brought the devil out of them, Tikki didn't know. And quite frankly, she didn't care. They were breaking her chosen, and she was sick of it.
She could curse them, but she wasn't wasting ancient magic on the likes of them.
She could threaten them, but they are probably too dense to take it seriously and she didn't want to risk accidentally revealing Marinette's identity.
Tikki sighed in defeat, her eyes flicking over Ms. Bustier sitting at her desk calmly grading papers like hell wasn't be unleashed towards her chosen.
Ms. Bustier was so incompetent--
Wait a second. . . .
She could change that, couldn't she?
Hmmmm. . . . .

Marinette didn't know what to think. She could feel Tikki vibrating with anger in her purse before, but now she was refusing to go to bed.
Logically, Marinette knew that Tikki was the physical embodiment of creation and has been around since the beginning of time, technically not needing sleep. But she also knew that Tikki loved dreaming, and she wouldn't give that up for anything. So why was she refusing to sleep now?
"It's okay, Marinette." Tikki assured her. "I just need to get something done, alright?"
Marinette gave her a wary look, "You won't get into trouble, right? Nothing dangerous?"
Tikki smiled warmly at her, "I promise, Marinette."
Marinette sighed in relief, "Okay Tikki, whatever you're doing, be careful."
And now, it was morning and Tikki was nowhere to be seen. Marinette would be lying to herself if she said that she wasn't worried. But she had woken up late enough already, and she didn't have time to search for Tikki. Marinette prayed to every god and goddess that Tikki was okay.
