Summary Alya ditched Marinette with her twin sisters to attend a concert they originally planned to go together. Her deceit backfired.| This fanfic is based on the episode 'Adventures in Bebe Sitting' from the animated show, The Proud Family, along with dialogue and a scene from 'Puff Adventure', another episode from The Proud Family.
Tonight was not going as Marinette had planned.
"Etta, no! You can't play with your great-grandmother's vase! Ella, get down from there! Little girls can't fly!" Marinette cried as she darted from one corner to another, chasing after Alya's little sisters in Alya's apartment.
Originally, she and Alya were supposed to attend a concert that they spent weeks waiting for.
Not just any concert.
The first ever concert held in Paris of the ultra-popular K-Pop boy band, KING.
But on the day of the long-awaited concert, Alya's parents threw a wrench in their plans by making Alya babysit her troublesome little sisters while they attend a fancy party.
The girls were distressed, but there was nothing they could do. Marinette returned the tickets (bought with her money) and got a refund. She also promised Alya she would help her babysit, as she refused to go to the concert without her.
"Where's Alya with the popcorn?"
Alya had gone out a few minutes ago to get more popcorn from the store. Marinette tried calling her, but there was no answer.
"Alya is probably at the concert she wanted to go to!" Ella piped.
Marinette shook her head. "No, Ella. Alya can't be at the concert. She's supposed to babysit you and your sister with me."
"No, she said so!" Etta said out loud.
Marinette dropped the pillow she was holding.
"…what?"
"Uh huh! She said she had to go for her blog!" Etta continued.
"But I got the money back…I got a refund…"
"She bought new tickets!"
"She said you would look after us!"
"You did it so many times, she didn't have to ask!"
"You're always there for her!"
"She…ditched me? She…used me?"
This was Alya's biggest betrayal yet. This hurt more than the other times Alya forced her into things, more when she followed Lila like a puppy.
Heartbroken, Marinette flopped down on the couch and put her face in her hands. She didn't move from her position for a while until something poked her in the shoulder.
"Marinette, the twins!" Tikki shrieked. "They got out!"
Marinette sprung up immediately. "What?!"
"They must've jimmied the front door and got out!"
"Oh no!" Marinette grabbed her jacket, put on her shoes, and ran out the open door. "They may be more troublesome than Manon, but I am not letting anything happen to them!"
It wasn't hard to find the twins. All she had to do was follow the giggles.
But they were still ahead of her.
"Etta! Ella! Stop!"
She kept calling and chasing, but the girls only giggled and ran like wild animals released from their father's zoo.
While chasing the girls down a hill, she tripped and ended up running fast down before flying off at the bottom and landed…
…into a limousine.
