short 'story' of a school au because i'm too tired to write another chapter :)
it was a rainy day, xiao was staring out the window as the water hit the green grass. venti caused a commotion, coming in late and rambling to the teacher. it was unusual for him to show up to class late, but the teacher let it slide and continued on with his lecture.
xiao's eyes followed venti as he looked for an open seat, the only seat open was one next to xiao. venti was soaked because of the rain, causing liquid to drip from his hair, xiao's eyes snapped back to the rain.
"how about you answer this question, xiao." xiao hadn't been paying attention so he stayed silent, he didn't even attempt. "i said, what is x? this is simple math." xiao examined the problem before answering, and he got it right.
after a few minutes he looked over at venti that was staring at him. he blushed and turned away, his body tensing slightly. a few moments after he felt a soft tap on his shoulder. "xiao, right?" venti was looked up at him, his gaze warm. "yeah." xiao cleared his throat. "i like your eyes." xiao blushed a bit and tried to hide it. "thanks.. i like yours too."
the two stared at eachother in silence, a comforting silence. "hey, uh.. do you mind helping me with a project after school?" xiao muttered. "i don't see why not, just give me the time and place."
at xiao's place they did everything but the project. they shared stories, they talked, they watched movies, etc. later, when they were watching movies xiao felt himself getting sleepy; he wrapped his arms around venti, pulling him close. venti blushed and looked down at xiao, then he paused the movie. now all that could be heard was peaceful rain. "goodnight xiao." venti said softly as xiao had already drifted off to sleep.
