venti's pov:
i wonder what his siblings are like... i gazed into the sky. the whole world felt like it got paused. silence filled my head as i blanked out, the sky swallowed me whole as my thoughts are me alive. i then felt a cold hand on my shoulder. i snapped back into reality as soon as i heard, "venti, are you alright?" i caught my breath staring at the worried expression on xiao's face. "what happened venti?" "it's nothing." xiao then grabbed my face and stared dead in my soul. "venti," he started, "tell me what happened." i stared at the floor beneath me blankly. "i zoned out and the world stopped. it felt like the sky consumed me and i drowned in my thoughts. it was like i was stuck, but i wanted to be stuck." he then lifted my chin to make our eyes meet. "tell me whenever that happens okay?" "okay." i grabbed him and pulled him into a hug. "xiao." "hm?" "you're the best." i started to sob burying my face deeper into xiao's chest. "i don't know what i would ever do without you, if i never met you i would be miserable, i refuse to spend a second away from you, you're the best thing that ever happened to me." i cried even harder.
xiao's pov:
i heard venti start to cry even harder and i pulled him in closer. "hey, hey it's okay. i appreciate what you said and i can't live without you either and honestly i don't know what i'll do without you either. u just want you to promise me this." he looked up at me wiping his tears. "promise me that you'll always love me, and as long as you love me, i'll love you." "i promise to always love you xiao, no matter what." i grabbed his face yet again but instead of questioning him i kissed him and he kissed back. but not too long later our kiss was interrupted by rain. venti grabbed my hand and ran to his house. "thanks for the quick save." i said brushing the wet hair out of my face. "no problem!" we went up to his room and dried off. he then stared at me blankly, the same way he did when that thing happened. "what's wrong?" "oh nothing, just thinking about how i could be drinking right now." "you can i don't be participating." "what's the fun in that." "you're gonna fuck up my system again venti." "pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee." he looked at me very sadly snd i just could say no. "fine." "yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!"
