The Shire couple, Mary and Arthur, returned home from work and found their children - the triplets Elisa, Alice, and Genevieve - studying in the living room while Catherine, the girl they had taken in 3 years ago, was cleaning the windows.

The triplets turned to Catherine and told her to stop cleaning, saying she was not their servant. Elisa closed her book and complained, "It's so boring!"

Suddenly, Elisa had an idea. "Mama! Papa! Can we take Catherine to the barn?"

"Yeah! I knew I remembered something!" said Alice excitedly.

Catherine stopped cleaning and hopped to the floor, asking in surprise, "You have a barn?!"

"Yes!" Genevieve said, gesturing enthusiastically. "It's very big!"

But Mary looked at the girls sternly. "Girls, you're not allowed to go out."

"Mama, please?" Alice pleaded with puppy eyes.

Mary was worried about her daughters' safety in the outside world, but she also didn't want to keep them sheltered. After a moment, she sighed and relented, "Okay, fine."

"YAY!" the triplets and Catherine cheered, running out to the barn.

Mary shook her head as she watched them go. "Girls! Don't run!"

Arthur came and stood next to Mary, watching the children. "They surely love Catherine, huh?" he said proudly.

Mary turned to Arthur. "What if we adopted her? She doesn't have a family anymore, and she's been with us for 6 years."

In the barn, the girls showed Catherine the horses. "Those other horses are owned by Mama and Papa," Alice explained. "But these three are ours - one for each of us. And we decided to give you one too!"

Catherine's eyes widened in disbelief and joy. "Really?! No way!"

As Catherine joyfully learned to ride her new horse, with the triplets cheering her on, Mary and Arthur prepared a picnic in the barn.

When the children returned, Mary scolded them for going so far, but then Arthur revealed the surprise - they were officially adopting Catherine as their daughter.

Catherine was overjoyed, hugging her new family with tears of happiness. The Shires took a family photo, capturing this special moment.

But unbeknownst to the others, George - the Shires' other child - was not happy about the adoption.
