Chapter 23: The Murderer

Catherine is already 82 years old and was taken care by her 21-year-old house helper, Marie Jones, Catherine is all alone without her family with her, her father, Arthur, passed away 20 years ago because of a lung disease.

Marie pushed Catherine's wheelchair to the lake where they threw her siblings' ashes.

She acted as if Genevieve, Elisa, and Alice are there in front of her, talking to her, she sat there for 3 hours because she misses them way too much, she even apologized to them that she is unable to save them.

She wasn't able to think straight, they don't deserve to die.

She feels lost again.

Decades after decades after decades have passed yet Catherine still couldn't move on from their heartbreaking deaths, she spent her whole life being regretful knowing she knows who killed them but she couldn't tell because she's afraid of being killed.

But she loved the triplets too much and she knew how badly they needed to get justice for the triplets and Martha.

She spent almost all her life, drowning in frustration and regret for the rest of her life, "Marie, take me to the police station"

"Why?"

"Just do it"

Marie took Catherine to the police station so she could tell them who was behind the Shire Triplet's death, and the case was finally opened after years.

"Who was it, maam?"

Catherine took a deep breath, she isn't young and she's dying of old age, it's time for her to tell them the truth, "I ordered the men to kill my sisters"

The Shire Triplets Case, reopened!

By that time, now social media existed and people use their phones as their alarm, when they saw that notification from the news, they quickly went into a deep investigation, even the Gen Z knew about the case but the ones born in the 1940s witnessed how cruel the case was, and they rejoiced upon hearing the news about the case being reopened.

They were extremely surprised knowing that all these years, it was George or Adam who ordered the men to murder the triplets, but they couldn't believe that the adopter daughter and innocent victim, Catherine is the one who actually ordered the men to kill her siblings.

The news is all over the world, people and youtubers couldn't stop talking about this gruesome confusing case, there were a lot of suspects but Catherine is the only suspect.

She went from victim to a criminal.

The police and the detectives went to the Shire house before they move out to Alfonso's house, they saw the same drawing that was found in George's bedroom, it turns out, it was Catherine who drew them and placed it inside his room to make it look like George drew them.

The others went to Adam's house, the others went to Alfonso's house, they searched every inch of details of the house until they saw a crumpled paper.

'Just stay there' They then tried to detect it and it was indeed Catherine's writing, the others who went to Adam's house tried to connect the letters.

'Where am I gonna stay?'

'I am gonna tell on you'

'I will confess'

'I will seek revenge for my son'

'Your mother killed my son, you should be dead too'

They all gathered in Adam's house and showed them Catherine's letters.
