Chapter 13: Fly Away

They stayed in Alfonso's house for a while and they will come back after a year since they know how unsafe they are there.

While Martha was cooking dinner, Mary approached her so she could keep her calm, Martha knows the tragedy that was happening to them, "Did you and Arthur have any enemies?"

"No... I don't think so... This is the first time that a situation like this happened in our family, and a group of killers wanted to kill us"

Martha flinched, "Oh gosh! Let us pray for your safety, you should really stay here"

Imagine someone out there is screaming your name, angry at you because someone's family is killed but your own family is the real target, the time before that, George went crazy and threatened to kill them, and then they were robbed, and then a woman was beaten up in front of them after begging your family to help her find her daughter.

They had no clue what was really going on.

It all started after the woman begged them to help her, does she knows something about this?

Did she hire people to kill the Shire family because they didn't help her find her daughter?

Everything is confusing.

Why is the Shire family suddenly targeted without a reason?

Why are they the targets? Who did this to them? What did they do wrong?

A knock on the door is heard so Arthur went outside and found a box in front of the door, "Hmm... What is this?"

Not only a box, but also a letter.

He returned back inside and went back to the guest room, he placed the box and the letter on the desk and didn't bother opening them since he has more important things to do.

He walks downstairs and saw Catherine using the telephone, he noticed that she has heen using the telephone frequently, "Who are you calling? You have been in the telephone for 4 times this hour"

"Oh!" Catherine giggled, "So... This boy courted me and-"

"You are not allowed to have a boyfriend"

Catherine gulped, "What? Why are my other siblings allow to be in a relationship and I'm not?!"

"Because you're too young! Stop using the telephone!"

Arthur went up to Catherine and grabbed the telephone from her hands, "If I see you again using this telephone, I swear you're grounded"

Catherine glares at her siblings, "But if they did what I did it's okay for you, but if I did it, it's wrong!" She ran upstairs and a crumpled paper from her pocket fell.

He picks up the crumpled paper and tried to read what was written.

'Just stay there'

He didn't care so he puts it in his pocket, he always does this when he can't find or is lazy to find the trashcan which results to Mary finding a lot of crumpled papers inside his pants which angered her.

He received a call from Adam again, "Adam"

"You aren't home?"

"I am staying in my brother's house, after what my family has been through for the past few days, there is no way we're still staying there"

Adam nodded, "Good, whatever happens, stay in that area"

"What are you doing now?"

"Oh, I'm writing a letter for someone" he giggled.

"A letter? For who?"

"For... Agh! It's none of your business, a letter for my wife since she left for Australia a week ago..."

"Oh! Stephanie, your new wife? What is she doing there?" Arthur proceeds to sit down on the couch beside the telephone desk.

"Yeah... I actually want to buy a new ring, I think I lost it somewhere"

Arthur's smile faded, "You lost your ring?"

"Yeah..." One of the letters that he arranged fell, "Oh! Arthur, I better go, goodbye" he hung up.

Arthur smells something fishy, he immediately walked up to Mary, "You have Adam's ring?"

"Oh! I don't know..."

"Um... Did you know where you put his ring?"

"I forgot..."

Meanwhile, Alice went to the guest room and saw a box and a letter on the desk which Arthur brought a while ago.

She was excited and curious so she went up to the desk and opened the envelope.

'I will kill you once I see you again, you will never escape my wrath, it's your fault why my parents didn't love me anymore, it's because of you and my stupid 3 perfect sisters'

She looks down and saw George's name.

Alice felt a cold shiver and she feels like she can't move, she then laid her eyes on the box, and she noticed that a small amount of red liquid is dripping from the box.

She unties the bow and slowly opens the box, she had her eyes almost popped out and a strong pound was left on her heart as she saw Catherine's photo with blood.

She screamed her heart out and all her family went inside her room, she points at the box and the letter, "G...George"

Arthur stepped closer and found a bloody photo of Catherine and reads the letter from George.

"Mary..." Arthur heavily breathes, "Call the police, Catherine's life is in danger"

Catherine wanted to look but Elisa pulled her away, but she insisted and saw her photo full of blood, she didn't scream, but she was shivering in fear.

Mary grabbed Catherine and embraced her, telling her that everything will be okay.
