Chapter 9: Don't Judge a Book by its Cover

Author's Note:

You guys cannot believe I have actually came up with another Riren story. Well, an idea which is practically horrible. It is hard to deal with two stories that are ongoing at the same time to be honest, but I would risk it for you guys by adding in another one because I just think this story idea is interesting. Well in my opinion. I'll let you guys have the summary of it at the end. I am not sure when it will come out but it will soon.

Eren's POV

"It's because I'm a nuisance sound."

I stood there and looked at him with a face he could laugh at.

"Did I ever tell you I could read minds?"

"W-What?" I coughed out.

He just sat there and then let out a life, "I'm just joking." This was the first time I ever saw him laugh. I shook my head to get back into reality. "Are you going to leave or would you want to sit down and have some fun with me?"

"W-Well... I wouldn't mind staying with you for a bit to be honest." I let out a shrug and placed my bottom on the couch.

"Hmm, so you're interested in me." He commented at my response.

"Am not, I can't be interested in such a- a ass in the hole teacher." I struggled with what I was trying to say.

"An ass in the hole teacher? That's nice English you got there, Jaeger."

I just made a face at him and looked away, as he chuckled at my behavior. "See, you're all cool down now."

I had my eyes wide open and looked at him. He wasn't looking at me, but he was looking at the cup placed on the coffee table. Was he trying to cheer me up?

"Say... how come you decided to become a teacher?" I asked him.

He clicked his tongue, "I always thought it would be a pain in the ass to teach stupid high school students, but it is not as bad as you think it is." I sat back and just listened to him talk. It was soothing and it was like I could fall asleep because of his voice; soft and husky.

"To be honest, I didn't know why I became a teacher. It just happened. When you always think you have a long-term goal in mind, but once you got to that stage it can change without you realizing it." I was amazed on how he wasn't cursing every word he had said.

"Besides, why do you want to know about my life?" He asked.

"I-I just wanted to know?" I said unsurely.

"Is this a twenty question game?"

"I guess it can be." I answered.

"Well, my question for you is why did you go through all this trouble just to see me?"

"I was just worried... I mean you're a teacher, so a teacher shouldn't be in suspension right?" I tried to answer it where it isn't obvious.

"Hmm, I see." Was all he said.

"Uh, how close are you with the principal?" I asked him the next question.

"How close? We aren't even that close." He cursed at the question.

"What do you plan to major in?"

I thought about the question and just swayed my head, "I haven't thought about it to be honest." He leaned back allowing his back to make contact with the chair, as he placed his arms on top of the couch.
