Chapter 10: Legend says...

Author's note:
Hey, yes finally an update I know what you are all thinking. Where have you been?! I did post an update on why I haven't been updating for the past weeks. Trust me, school has been hectic on the first week. It'll get even more worse later on, but I cannot complain. I mean it is school; a torture school.

Levi's POV

"You have my left eye, as I have your right eye, Eren."

Eren couldn't believe what I was saying, as I shrugged off his reaction and went back towards my favorite spot of my couch.

"How is this even possible...?"

"It's possible. You can see it right now. How I am looking at you with your eye and how you are looking at me with my own eye." I gave a stern look at him.

He just shook his head back and forth trying not to believe every word I said. "I didn't believe that one of my students would be a the person I have exchanged eyes with, especially an old childhood friend of mines."

"We use to know each other when we were younger?"

I placed my elbow on my knee and rested the bottom of my chin on the palm of my hand. "Of course, what a horrifying thought to remember. I remember you were always attached to me." His cheeks were lightly tinted, "You would always cry when I'm not there next to you. It's like I was your older brother."

"We knew each other... because of our fathers right?" He asked.

I let my eyes drifted off around the room and just sighed, "Both of our fathers were great friends because of their careers. They were both scientists. Back then, they have heard of a legend. A legend... that once says if you exchange eyes with someone you are one with that person. To sum it all up, both  humans would have the greatest connection where they can read each other's thoughts, know each other feelings, and so on."

My explanation of course was great enough to scare a fragile boy like him, "Of course, I could never believe in such a stupid legend like that."

"What would you do if it was actually real?" He gulped and hesitated.

"That's just really fucking non-sense. It's like you're telling me to believe in such fairy-tale." I removed my chin off the palm of my hand and have my back lay on the soft cushion behind me.

"Fairy-tales are made up to entertain people so it's a non-sense to believe in such a made up thing."

A laugh came out of his mouth. I looked at him with a haggard look. "I'm sorry, I just found it a bit funny. I'm sorry Mr. Ackerman. "

"Levi, just call me Levi."

"R-right... Levi. Well, I cannot really argue about the fact you don't believe in legends neither in fairy-tales, but do you mind telling me the story if our exchanged eyes since it is real?"

I brought my arms to rest on the top ledge of the couch. "I was the age of 10, as you were just a more younger than me; 4 years old."

FLASHBACK

A tugging of my shirt came from behind. I turned around revealing the small boy who smiled at me with a joyful face. I looked at him with a slight smile, as I bent down to be his same size.

"A piggyback ride!" He shouted as he waved both of his arms from side to side. I couldn't help to think how someone this small would be cute but yet, fragile.
