The door of the room opened a little, when someone pushed it slightly. A young boy peeked into the dim lighted office of his father. The voices were muffled with a closed door so he decided to risk eavesdropping the conversation between his father and uncle.
The boy scanned the dim lighted room, to find his mother weeping in the corner of the room, sitting on the yellow hand sofa. Her face was dull and tear stained as a fresh batch of tears again made it's way down her cheeks, hearing her younger brother and husband converse.
"Tum back out krrr rhe ho Arjun?" Dev Singh Rathore's accusing tone was clearly witnessed as he slammed the papers infront of his brother in law. Though the young boy couldn't see his uncle's expression, still he could comprehend that Arjun Chauhan was nothing but pissed.
"Haan", Arjun clenched his jaw, using the same tone yet with a tinge of vulnerability in it, "but apne liye nhi apni Ira ke liye. Beti jaisi h wo meri." Arjun couldn't help but break at by the end of sentence as his darling Princess's smiling face came infront his eyes, guilt tripping him. He couldn't take away her precious smile.
A tear rolled down Arjun's eye, as he harshly wiped it away, correcting himself,"Heck cut it, beti hi h wo meri. Kyunki uske asli baap se zyada toh Maine usse pala h." He added the last statement to hurt the heartless man standing in front of him. Yet only disappointment reached Arjun as Dev stood there with blank eyes and cold expression, like a stone.
"You need to do this again, Arjun. You need to take Aadhira away" Though the statement pierced Dev's cold heart yet he won't show it. If he fell prey to his emotions now, then he would never be able to save his daughter, neither his promise to his dying father.
The young man in front of him was acting upon his impulse, he was just being emotional for his niece. Which will only lead Aadhira to fall in the trap of future.
"Nhi jiju, usss samay maine aapki baat maani thi kyunki wo usss samay ki zarurat thi. But ab ye sirf aapki zid h aur kuch nhi jiju." Arjun brought Dev out of his thoughts, rubbing the truth on his face. He felt nothing but anger surging itself through his veins. Dev kept his hand on the table and with the other massaged his forehead to ease the pain coming up in his forehead.
"Usss samay Ira ki jaan khatre me thi jiju..." Arjun trailed off his sentence as Dev harshly interrupted him," Mujhe sab yaad h Arjun. No need to remind me of that". Dev couldn't bear reminding himself of the day, the day pained his heart. He shook himself out of his thought giving a hard look to Arjun.
Arjun dejectedly sat on the nearby chair, holding his forehead. He couldn't believe a man can be this stubborn? A subtle smile on his saddened face as he understood the source of his Ira's stubbornness. The girl was a light in herself yet life had given nothing but darkness to her.
"Aap samjhte kyun nhi, Ira sirf ek 8 saal ki baachi h." Arjun again started after a moment of tense silence. He wanted nothing but happiness for his niece, "Jisse apni asli family ke saath aur pyaar ki zarurat h." He was true, Aadhira deserved every happiness in this world.
"Aap kyun uske pyaar ko taak pe rkhne ko tyaar h?" He slammed his hand on the table angrily, pointing his index finger at his brother in law,"Yaad rkhiyega jiju, aap meri Ira ke sab kuch h par agar apne Isss baar ye glti ki toh shyd iske baad aap uske kuch bhi na rhe."
The threat in Arjun's voice was grave, yet it still didn't deter The Dev Singh Rathore from his motive. He had strengthened himself to perform this specific act. No matter what, he had to send Aadhira away from himself. The father in him would fall weak in doing this but the son and brother in him wouldn't blink an eye before doing such a thing.
