"She's your responsibility now Arjun, take good care of her" Dev Singh Rathore said as he handed his newborn daughter, wrapped in a baby pink blanket, to his brother in law. Who carefully cradled the little one in his arms, glancing at the baby girl's face with uncertainty.

"But jiju, kya ye sab zaruri..." Arjun trailed off being interrupted by his brother in law. "Arjun humari baat ispe pehle bhi ho chuki h" Dev said with finality in his tone, as he looked a little pissed," You have to take her responsibility. Ye zaruri h"

"But kya ye sab Sakshi di ke uthne ke baad nhi ho skta kya?" Arjun again asked as he held the little girl close to his chest, providing necessary support to her fragile body. Dev gave him a sharp look as he shook his head in negative," It's not necessary Arjun. She'll fall weak if we do this"

Arjun gulped as he looked at the fragile body in his arms, while he cradled her with warmth and care lingering in his hold. She looked so innocent for the cruel world she was born in. Her white face, with closed eyes giving her the angelic look that she was in their lives.

She seemed so fragile in comparison to the boys that Arjun's heart feared that gripping her too tightly would break her. He had to remind himself that she wasn't one of the boys.

His eyes caressed the small girl with love as he couldn't take his eyes off the newborn who looked the exact replica of her mother. Though he was younger than Sakshi yet the little girl in his arms had given him a chance to see his elder sister's childhood in her.

His eyes teared up a little when he kept looking at the girl realising that her own family was abandoning her. He couldn't help but feel sorrowful for the little one. His heart could mirror the pain which she will feel whenever she'll get to know about this fact. His heart trembled at the thought of taking care of a girl child, when all he had were two boys.

Yet he promised himself to give her the best family possible. He'll become the best father just for her...just like he was to the boys. He'll be the missing father in her life, fulfilling her every wish no matter. She'll be treated as the princess she is supposed to be. If not Rathores, then Chauhans.

"What's her name?" Arjun asked not taking his eyes off the little girl. His eyes were captured by the bundle of innocence he held firmly in his arms. Dev stepped a little closer, caressing the cheek of the baby as he spoke with affection mixed with pride,"Aadhira Singh"

Arjun's eyes snapped towards Dev in an instance as he heard the name,"Aap isse Rathore nhi de rhe jiju?" His face held a shade of shock, as his hold unconsciously tightened on the baby as he pulled her a little towards himself, away from her father's touch.

Dev sympathetically shook his head in no, "Agar mai aisa krunga toh iske liye khatra badh jayega". His voice held sadness as so does his features. The sadness laced in his voice conveyed a sense of protectiveness to wrap itself around Arjun's heart.

Dev's heart shattered a little as he said while caressing his daughter's head with umpteen love and tenderness, "Mai apni ek lauti beti ko tumhe de rha hoon Arjun please iska dhyaan rkhna" Arjun nodded, his shoulder heavy with responsibility yet his heart free with the fatherly love that had already mustered up itself in his heart as he glimpses at Little Aadhira

Dev stepped a step back from his daughter as he cleared his throat before announcing,"I have to leave now Arjun. Take good of my daughter" Arjun nodded to his brother in law before Dev took his leave. Leaving an uncertain Arjun wrapped in the innocence of a certain newborn girl, that unknowingly reminiscences the responsibility of a father in his heart.
