Arjun poured the coffee in two cups, feeling contented with aroma that filled the silent room. The silence in the attached living room provided him the necessary calmness that he was in need of. A subtle smile formed on his lips as his mind escaped into the memory his princess' love for coffee.
His eyes wandered into the verities of the empty living room in his sight and soon his smile saddened. The absence of the three miscreants made itself known. The feeling of longing settled into his heart as he remembered how much the house has changed after Aadhira's departure.
How he wished he could've stopped her then...yet that wasn't something in his hands.
His eyes welled up with the floods of past constrained in form of tears. His breath hardedned as he let out a bitter chuckle to himself remembering the times in the evening to be eventful at that point of time. After his princess's departure, every felt nothing but dull. She was the voice of the house, that now even the walls yearned to hear.
Her replies, her affection, her memories... everything about his princess was really close to his heart.
Especially, The days when his little Ira would follow him everywhere ever since he came back from his work.He shook his head shooing away the glimpses of the past. They were the restricted end of his brain as it always reminded him of how much he wanted to bring his princess back home. Leaving an exasperated breath, he gently kept the two cups of coffee on the kitchen slab, finding himself a tray.

He walked steadily with the tray carefully held in his hand. The smile on his face etched brighter as he saw his wife sitting on the swing, looking at the cloudy sky. She looked deep in her introspection, her face holding a blank look.
"What happened Nandu?" He used the nickname to gasp the divided attention of his wife as Nandini threw him a nasty glare, snapping almost immediately,"Stop calling me that". Arjun smiled sheepishly at his successful attempt, while his hand outstretched a coffee towards his wife.
"Lagta h koi gusse me h" Arjun teased with amusement lingering in his eyes. He was expecting another reaction from her but to his concern, it never came. Nandini kept the coffee mug on the table, not giving a damn to the annoying man sitting beside her.
Arjun's eyebrows furrowed as he asked with much more concern, the amusement fading in voice, "What happened?" He could easily sense that something wasn't right. The uncertainty in his wife's actions, worried him a bit.
Arjun skimmed at her closely, anticipating his wife's next words. "I am gonna kill those Rathores Arjun, kya halat krrr di h meri Ira ki?" Nandini said as her voice dripped with an absolute form of rage. Arjun was taken aback by her sudden confession, unaware of the current situation.
"Kya hua Ira ko?" Arjun asked, totally baffled by the whole situation but a visible panic took over his features as he heard Aadhira's name. Moreover, the anger in his wife's tone was something that wasn't settling right with him.
Nandini looked at her husband in disbelief, "You don't know?". She let out a heavy sigh seeing him shake his head in negative. She put her face in her palms, getting the reason why was Arjun so calm till now. Aadhira's name was only enough to send him into his overprotective papa bear mode.
Arjun's expression paled with each passing second as his wife delayed answering his questions. "Btao na Nandini, kya hua Ira ko? Woh thik h na?" He urged, a subtle hint of plead settled in the dept of his words. His chaotic mind wondered into the realms of possibilities that his princess could've faced. Each worse than the other.
