Welcome back lady's and gentlemen, as expected we had a very eventful day yesterday and may today be just as eventful.
As many of you who were there might have witnessed, Miss.Alexandria regurgitated infront of the Queen embarrassing both her parents and district Water.
We mustn't forget about the lovely Fire district triplets from the cowiger family one of which passed out from lack of air another sneezed and blew her nasal mucus all over the stairs some people say you can still see it and the poor third girl she tripped over her sister causing her dress to rip.
However the absolute best show was of the Air district's absolute perfection Lady Melanie might I just say her mother did spectacular with dressing her and the jewelry really spoke as to what she was a golden flower.
Rumor has it the queen sat up and smiled at the young Lady.
Today is the second batch of lady's let's hope they are just as or even more entertaining than yesterday's.
May all you lovely flowers be picked by a man who truly loves you.***
I take my fathers hand as he helps me get out of the carriage, I know I'm not supposed to but I can't help but look around at the other girls most of the mothers are looking towards us since we are the new arrivals but I can feel the hatred radiating towards me. Mother ushers me forward as both of my parents go to either side of me and interlock our elbows together, we walk forward completely ignoring the line of young girls and their mothers
"Mother? Why are we not entering the line?" She raises an eyebrow at me and turns to look at the line a look of disgust on her face "because they are lower class women the higher the class the quicker you can get in and out, either that or they are single women who are doing another year of looking for a husband. The Queen would prefer someone who is in her first year." I nod and go back to looking forward
Might I just say this castle is absolutely gorgeous from the ceilings to the floor everything is perfect mother has to keep grabbing my head to keep me from admiring the chandeliers. We have chandeliers at home but nothing compared to these, and mother really only pulls them out for balls or get togethers.
"Mother? Are we having the first ball of the season? I know we usually do but I wasn't sure since I'll be looking for a husband this season." She scoffs and straightens her shoulders while father leans into my side and whispers to me "she's quite upset the Queen told her she wasn't allowed to have the first ball of the season, the Queen wants it to be in the fire district, rumor has it that the fire district feels discriminated against so to keep peace the Queen want most festivities to be there." I nod in understanding and give my mom a quick and quiet apology
Mother left me with father right before I am to be called upon by the Queen, I know that's how it is but it still is scary I'm surrounded by other girls and their mothers staring daggers at me while father has our elbows interlocked just to make sure I don't run away.
He clears his throat and looks to me "You know what to do correct?" I nod and look forward standing tall and acting confident. He nods and turns to look forward just as we are announced and the doors open.
He drops my arm and walks forward besides me, I quickly but not to quickly follow looking straight ahead into the eyes of her majesty I pray that no one can see freaking out in the inside. Once we are halfway in the room father breaks away from me and stands with the other fathers who daughters have been seen.
I keep walking with my head held high while making eye contact my hands folded neatly in front of me, the second I get to the bottom of the stairs I grab the sides of my dress and curtsy still keeping eye contact, and for a moment I think my eyes deceive me but she smirks at me and gives a slight nod.
She turns to the man next to her and speaks "Very good, I like her." I almost didn't hear it and honestly if I hadn't been watching her I probably wouldn't have heard it over my pounding heart, my father most definitely heard it though I can feel his proudness and honor all the way over here.
The Queen waves me to exit the back door, I'm the first to do that tonight which means she wishes to see me again another day! I can't wait to tell mother!!
As I walk back I keep myself tall and confident barely letting go of my breath until the doors close behind me then I exhale and walk over to the group of Lady's who have yet to be called looking for my mother. When I find her she is holding a glass of wine and speaking with other moms when I walk up to the group they are quick to try and correct me "hunny you aren't supposed to come back over here you are meant to go to the study with all the other young lady's." I nod at her "I'm sure you're right under normal circumstances but.." I turn to my mother a huge grin on my face "the Queen smiled, waved and gave a head nod to me mother! She motioned for me to come back out here! Doesn't that mean she wants to see me again?!" My voice raises an octave as my mothers eyes go huge
"My daughter was picked by the Queen?!" My mothers voice is loud enough so all the other moms and daughters who have yet to be called can hear her the two women my mother was talking to get me tight lip smiles before giving each other annoyed looks.
My mother does a small happy clap before excusing herself and grabbing my elbow "we must get you ready for your second meeting with the Queen!" She made sure to enunciate Queen and second as we passed other women.
If I thought the looks they were giving me earlier were bad I wouldn't be able to stand the looks they are giving me now
*present*
Unfortunately I'm back at home, currently sitting in my window looking out at the street, apparently when the queen says she wishes to see you again it doesn't mean right away, it could be next week before she wants to see me again.
Mother is still ecstatic but my happiness has worn off and has been replaced with anxiety, some of it is for the ball tonight my first ever ball at that but my nerves are mostly coming from the fact I have no idea when she will call on me, it could be right now and then what do I do I'm not dressed for that at all I'm just in a night gown.
"Lisa would you mind getting me a small snack? I fear my nerves are starting to get to me and I might be sick." She nods and gives a small curtsy
