After a stressful week at work and everything that was happening with Bella - it was time for long anticipated date with Paul and just like I did with Noah - he's picking out my outfit.
"Darling, why haven't you picked my outfits before?" I ask as I got changed into what he chose for me, "because I am choosing the safe shoes." he said making me laugh.
"All my shoes are safe." I said as he gave me a jacket that went well, i thanked him and we went downstairs because I would be leaving soon. "What you doing this evening?" I asked.
"Going hunting with my family and see who finds a bear quickest. Me or Emmett." Noah laughed, I know he's going to cheat to win that bet. "He'll cheat, you know that right?" I asked smirking at him, "Yes my love but I have a plan." he said winking at me.
An hour later Paul picked up me for our date - he obviously greeted Noah and everyone left the house at the same time. "I love you." Noah kissed me and winked at Paul. "You ready?" I asked Paul and funny enough we went to the same restaurant as Noah and he did.
"The same restaurant you and Noah went to? Ooo this will be fun." I said with a smirk as Paul opened my passenger door. "Would you believe Noah warned me about that smirk?" Paul asked me smirking as well.
"I am not a vindictive person, however I am protective and if the same waitress says anything so we shall we what happens." I said linking my arms with him as we walked into the restaurant.
As the same waitress came over and her eyes went wide seeing Paul with a woman this time - "is there a problem?" I asked, "No ma'am. This way." she said and led them to the same table. "How do you know that's her?" Paul asked.
"I can look into someone's head but unlike Edward mine is different." I explained and saw his face so I explained more clearly and he listened to very single word I said.
The waitress came over and took our orders, I had the biggest grin on my face when I saw the waitress continuing to stare at them, "Noah is really lucky to have you. Damn." Paul said amused - "I'm the lucky one. He has dealt with so much shit thanks to my unhinged sister." I explained.
"Besides, if after this and the date with me and Noah goes well and if you're comfortable then we'll be the lucky ones. I will be anyway, a sexy vampire who is over protective and beautiful wolf who has anger issues but is secretly a sweetheart. Damn - I must thank my lucky stars." I said and he smiled so wide and now I understand Noah when he said his smile is beautiful.
"I am also protective." he added making me giggle, "I'll add it to my list." I said winking at him when she came back over with our food. "Thank you." I said and she nodded and walked away. "When did she start with you and Noah?" I asked dipping my fries into some BBQ sauce.
"Round about dessert." he said looking at me and we made conversation throughout dinner and I got a text from Noah saying 'I won' to which I laughed and replied but then explained to Paul and how I knew Noah would cheat to win it.
"So - is it true you got a reputation for being a hothead?" I asked, "Yeah, alcoholic dad who disappeared when I was like 7 and my mom died when I was 4. I think he blamed me for it." he said, "Hmm, do you know where he is?" I asked.
"No but he keeps trying to come back according to Billy anyway." Paul said shrugging then he looked at me, "why?" he asked. "If Noah finds out he will be out blood. Literally." I said but I also knew Noah needs to know.
"He needs to know, I know but how do I tell him?" Paul asked, "Believe me, you'll figure it out." I said holding his hand and that's when she came over and saw our hands and frowned. "Is everything okay?" I asked.
"Didn't you come here last week but with a guy?" She asked Paul completely ignoring me, "Wow, okay that was rude." I said leaning back in the chair folding my arms. "Yes. Sooo?" he asked confused - "you two looked cozy." she said.
I roll my eyes, "is it a crime for someone to broaden his options for a life long partner or are you just annoyed that he hasn't asked you out yet?" I ask her leading on my elbows looking at her, out the corner of my eye I saw Paul ring Noah.
"I'm just saying he should stick to a woman -" and that's where I cut her off. "Right I'll stop you right there - if a gay couple came in would you serve them? Yes and why? Because you need the money I'm guessing but you glare at them and or are rude to them because you don't agree with them. Listen here woman - if a man or woman decides to be with the same sex it has fuck all to be with you, they are happy leave them the fuck alone. I know the person who he came here with last week because guess what? I'm engaged to him and believe or not that has nothing to do with you either so kindly bring our bill and fuck off." I snapped and she went bright red rushing away.
"Bitch." I added sipping the rest of my wine and looked back to Paul. "What?" I asked - he said nothing but only turned his phone around and I saw the whole family and the wolves with amused smiles.
"Why is it every time you go out you have a problem with someone?" Emmett asked, "because they are close minded fools." I said when she brought the bill. "I'll get it." Paul said as he passed me the phone. "I'll see you later. I love you." Noah said still very much amused.
"I love you too. Bye guys." I said and hung up passing the phone back to him, "Let's take a walk?" I ask him and he nodded walking out the restaurant with my arm linked with his going to his car, the drive to the woods we laughed, spoke about anything and everything.
When he parked, he rushed out and over to the passenger side to open it helping me out. "Thank you." I said and we started to slow walk in the forest.
"Can I ask you something?" he said making me stop to look at him, "anything." I said because that's true he can literally tell us anything.
"The only reason I'm taking it slow with you two is because I'm scared. I've always said I didn't want to imprint on someone let alone two vampire no less." He said, "half vampire. I have no idea what the other half is yet." I said making him chuckle.
"But now I have seen both of you without the other it's clear you two are made for each other and I'm happy that you both have said it's up to me if I want to be with you two. I feel like after the date with both of you I'll have my answer." He explained.
"And we will wait until then. Like we've both said we won't push you, we know it's different for you and that's fine." I said and I could feel the anxiety leave him when I said that. After a while he took me back to the Cullen house where he stayed with us for another hour and left to go back to Sam because he has patrol.
"That went well." I said making them laugh, "what?" I asked again but none of them answered me. "Are you always that protective of people?" Kaiden asked me.
"Yes, well certain people." I shrugged and I went over to Noah who was sat on the sofa, I laid my head on his shoulder and I slowly went into a deep sleep.
