That morning, Millie was woken up by someone knocking on her front door - she groaned getting of the sofa wondering where Noah and Paul were, she shrugged opened the front door.
"Dad, come in." Millie said when she opened it, moving aside letting him and shut the door behind him. "You want a drink?" she asked going into the kitchen and put the kettle on - "You were right." Charlie said making her look at him confused.
"About what?" she asked him folding her arms, "Bella. Apparently she wouldn't stop screaming about how much you betrayed her." Charlie said rolling his eyes, "and Renee tried to bail her out along with Jacob." he added making her eyes go wide.
"Jacob? Why's he trying to bail her out?" Millie asked pouring some hot water into their coffee mugs.
"He's been in love with her since they were kids." Charlie shrugged, "thank you." he added when she passed him the mug, and they went into the living room sitting down. "How's Harlow?" Millie asked and he gave her a massive smile.
"It's going good. Harlow is this close to slapping Renee and I don't have the energy to stop her." Charlie said shaking his head.
"What are you going to do, dad?" Millie asked - Charlie didn't know the answer to that so he didn't and enjoyed the time he is spending it with Millie until he went home two hours later and when Noah came in he told him that Charlie came over.
"We need to speak about Paul." Noah said sitting down, "What's wrong?" she asked, "How do you feel about it?" Noah asked, "Well - it's a situation I never thought I'd be in that's for sure. But I don't know I think it would be nice, no? It won't change us." Millie said firmly holding his hand.
"I know it won't change us. How do you think Paul is handling it?" Noah asked, "Not every well, he's been a man whore and hothead most of his life and suddenly he has two imprints? It would be different for him." Millie explained.
"But you would be okay with it?" Noah asked. Millie sighed and looked at him - "I would. Would you?" she asked.
"Yes, then I know you will be double protected." Noah said kissing her making her smile and kiss him back. "You will be double protected as well." Millie said when she pulled away - he smiled at her knowing even though she is half vampire, she isn't as strong as he is.
"I worry about you, you know." Millie said, "I know and I love you for it." Noah said leaning forward to kiss her even more when someone literally banged on their front door.
Noah fell back on the sofa dramatically when Millie got up and walked over to the front door - the minute she opened it Renee came barging in.
"Drop the charges against my daughter." she demanded, "In case you haven't noticed, I'm your daughter too." Millie scoffed. "You are no daughter of mine. You drop the charges and I'll take her away she won't bother you again." Renee tried to bargain.
"That's why dad sent her to you this time to leave me alone, she's tried to kill me, stalked literally everyone I know, got her assed kicked at school for badmouthing people and you want me to do you and her a favour?" Millie asked trying not to laugh.
"She belongs in there or a mental hospital." Millie added, "Now leave." She said firmly and Renee walked by her before looking at her again.
"You'll pay for this." Renee said and left them alone - Millie turned to look at Noah who was standing near her. "I don't even know how she knew where we live." Millie said confused, and rang her dad to let him know what just happened and then their lawyer who was happy to hear Renee actually tried something leaving them very confused but didn't question it.
Charlie is coming to terms he tried to save one daughter because he missed her so much of her growing up so he thought he needed to protect from everything but her choices and actions couldn't save her this time and Millie couldn't forgive her sister this time nor could she let it go.
Harlow was trying her best to comfort Charlie and speak to her family to keep everyone updated on the situation which they are grateful for but they didn't agree with how Charlie treated the twins differently - but didn't say anything because they knew it wasn't their place to actually say anything but Charlie knew what he did was wrong and was silently punishing himself and would do anything to make it up to Millie and Noah.
