Lilith's POV

Today, I was on my way to Jubelian's room when I bumped into the Duke.

"Where are you going?" Legis asked.

"Oh, My brother's here," I replied, and he frowned.

"How did you know?" Legis asked again.

"He always writes me if he arrives," I chuckled, and his eyes widened.

"Why didn't you tell me your brother was sneaking into my daughter's room?" Legis demanded, his tone sharp.

"You didn't ask," I said simply, and he looked at me, unamused.

"You shouldn't get sick," we heard Max's voice as we approached Jubelian's room. Legis, who was about to open the door, froze.

"I'll not," Jubelian replied, and we heard some shuffling.

"You should lie down if you're not feeling well," Max said slickly. Legis's face twisted with anger, and I quickly grabbed his hand.

"It's fine," I assured him, but his face hardened as he shook his head.

"I—don't think..." Jubelian's gasp interrupted us, and Legis kicked the door open. Both of them looked at us, frozen in place.

"Father—this is—NO!!" Jubelian pushed Max back, and Legis folded his shirt sleeves, his expression darkening.

"What's going on here?" Legis demanded menacingly. Max raised his hands defensively, backing away from Jubelian.

"Nothing, sir. I was just—" Max stammered, but Legis cut him off.

"You were just what? Sneaking around in my daughter's room without permission?" Legis took a step forward, and I held onto his arm, trying to calm him down.

"Legis, please, let's not make a scene," I pleaded, but his eyes were locked on Max.

"Jubelian, do you mind leaving my student for a while? I need to talk to him," Legis said rolling his sleeves and his muscles flexed. I stepped back, sensing the tension.

'Kyaaa~~~ I want him to choke me with his arms.'

(A/N: If you think the same way as our FL, please get help.)

Max gulped, clearly nervous. "Yes, sir," he replied, following Legis out to the empty training grounds. As soon as we arrived, Legis threw real swords at Max, who barely caught them in time.

"Master, you still don't approve of our relationship?" Max asked strained.

Legis gripped his sword so tightly that his veins stood out. "Do you know the first thing my daughter said when I asked her what type of man she likes?" he asked, his voice cold and hard.

"Kyaaa, kywaaa~~" I squealed, fangirling on the sidelines and my brother shot me an exasperated look. "You should be supporting me!" he exclaimed.

"Sorry, I prefer older men," I said nonchalantly with a shrug.

"Someone stronger than me," Legis said, his eyes never leaving Max. He clashed his sword with Max's, the sound of metal ringing through the air.

"You're not worthy of my daughter if you don't win," he declared.

They exchanged blows, but even with his injured leg, Legis overpowered Max with ease. He disarmed Max, who fell to the ground, panting.

Legis raised his sword for the final strike, but just then, Jubelian burst through the door.

"Dad," she called out, surprising Legis.

He lowered his sword, taken aback. "Did you just call me Dad?" he asked, his voice softening. She always called him Father, and the informal term caught him off guard.
