Lilith's POV

As I zonked out, I ended up in this trippy flower garden that stretched forever, like where the sky and the ground were having a vibe check.

"I heard you said hi," this raspy voice called out from behind. I turned around, and boom, there's a freakin' red dragon just chilling. "Come here," he said, and without thinking, my legs were like, "Okay, let's go!"

I was fuming. "Bro, the second I get control, your dragon balls are toast!" I snapped, but he just laughed like it was no big deal, wrapping his tail around me like we were besties.

"Wow, my bride's got that fire," he teased, rubbing his scaly face against mine.

Ew.

"You've got the audacity to flirt after what you did to my sister?" I growled, giving Fafnir the death glare. He just laughed again, totally unbothered.

"Come on, it's obvious what I really want," he said, smirking like he knew all my secrets.

"If wrecking the kingdom was your big plan, you'd have done it when you were at full power, back when Amelia died. But nah, you're scheming something huge," I accused.

Fafnir chuckled impressed. "You're pretty sharp, huh?" Then, he grabbed my face like a vice. I winced as he pulled me closer. "Your sister's life is hanging by a thread. Play nice, or else," he warned ominously.

And then, outta nowhere, he shapeshifted into his human form and kissed me! My brain was screaming, but my body? Total betrayal.

"Mhmp! Uhm!!" Just when things were about to get extra messy, a woman's voice interrupted the whole scene.

"Circe?" Fafnir whispered, both of us looking up at the sky, now glowing like an aurora light show. "Fafnir, I'll let the future decide your fate,"

Fafnir, looking all kinds of frustrated, scoffed like he was done with the BS. "Oh yeah? I can read Legis's mind, that guy you trust so much!" he shouted up at the sky, but got zero response.

Awkward.

"I might've brought his daughter back, gave him a second chance and all, but don't act like I didn't want something in return!" Fafnir snapped. I stared at him like, wait, what? I turned to Circe, looking for answers.

"I do not deny it," Circe said, all calm and collected.

Fafnir wasn't letting it slide. "Legis might be clueless, but I know what's up. You're not some goddess—you're a straight-up demon." He glared at her.

"And the real reason you saved Jubelian, that girl from the Floren fam..." He paused, his voice turning dark. "Was it so you could use her as some kind of sacrifice to save the empire!"

I was fuming too, throwing my glare at Circe. "Goddess, is that true?!'" I demanded the betrayal.

Circe, still cool asked me calm down. "Save the world, my child. That's why I brought you to this world" she said mysteriously.

I bit my lip frustrated. Why should I trust her? Why should I believe anything she says when she's clearly out here playing mind games?

Then the Oracle's words started: "Fate be change. Mend the bonds. History's about to repeat. Look within, let the knight do his thing. The end is near."

I gasped as I woke up, surprised and panting. "What was the Oracle about?" the High Priest asked, concerned.

"Here," Legis handed me some water, "You should rest sister," but Max interrupted, only for me to assure him it was alright.
