Normal POV

The next day, Lilith didn't wake up at all.

"Why isn't she waking up?" Legis asked the physician, who checked her pulse for the nth time.

"I don't know, my lord. She's healing quickly, I don't know why she's not getting up," the physician replied, looking puzzled.

Legis pressed his lips tightly but didn't ask anything more. That night, he slept next to her, playing with her red hair.

"Wake up already, I miss your voice...." he whispered, kissing her hair gently. Just then, there was a knock on the duke and duchess's room. Legis sighed, pulled back, and got off the bed.

"What is it?" Legis asked, opening the door. The young butler handed him some documents. "Duke, I brought the reports on the duchess's background," Derek said.

Legis scowled at the thin stack of papers. "This is all you could get?" he asked, surprised.

The butler nodded. "Yes, my lord. We've searched everywhere, but there's very little information about her past."

Legis glanced back at Lilith, frustration evident on his face. "This doesn't make any sense. There has to be more."

"We've exhausted all our usual channels, my lord. It seems like someone has deliberately erased her history," Derek explained.

Legis's expression hardened. "It's fine leave."

"Yes, my lord," the butler replied, bowing before he left.

Legis returned to Lilith's side, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Who are you really, Lilith?" he murmured, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Why does it feel like you're hiding something from me?"

He held her hand, feeling the warmth of her skin. "Please, wake up and tell me everything," he whispered, his voice filled with longing and frustration.

The night stretched on, with Legis keeping a soft watch over Lilith.

Lilith's POV

I woke up to the sound of a deep, guttural groan. "Hmm..." I hummed and turned to the right side of my bed. There was Legis, doing pushups, HALF-NAKED!!!

'Ah... I can die in peace now,'

"Did you sleep well? Ugh--!" he asked with a grunt, and I blushed, hugging my pillow.

"It was a great nap," I replied, unable to take my eyes off him. He chuckled, muscles flexing with each movement. "I wouldn't call three days of slumber a nap."

I didn't care about all that. The only thing I cared about right now was how his body flexed, the sweat dripping down his neck, making him look incredibly sexy.

I wanted to bite the mole on his ear.

"Waahhhhh!!" I squealed into my pillow, muffling my scream.

"Are you sure you're fine?" Legis asked, continuing his pushups.

I threw my pillow down and flopped back onto it, falling down, trying to calm my racing heart. "I'm... I'm fine," I managed to say, still blushing furiously.

Legis paused for a moment, looking at me with a mix of amusement and concern. "You sure? You're acting a bit... different."

"Just... enjoying the view," I mumbled.

Legis laughed softly, shaking his head.

With a groan, he continued his workout, and I couldn't help but admire him.
